In case you're wondering, this is being transmitted through tick bites (it's called alpha gal syndrome, and it's not a mild distaste for meat, it's a potentially fatal allergic reaction to meat from ticks).

Four people including children are dead when a BLEVE (boiling liquid expanding vapor explosion) rocked a gas station that was under the process of being refueled. The blast sent a fireball the size of a city street several hundred feet into the sky and a tanker truck rocketing more than 1000 feet down a residential street.
Going from the videos, it is also safe to assume that many more people, those who are within 100 yards of the blast, have sustained flash thermal burns from the impulse of infrared energy from that fireball.
