Not to be exceptionally rude, but he’s full of shit. I’ve got plenty of time in it and it flys great. It was a little under powered compared to other fighters, but the people who complain about that don’t really understand the the role of the aircraft.

Fighter?
My Mom worked at the Tonopah Test Range in the early to mid 90's. She's got a Northrup Grumman (?) company in house VHS tape on the F-117. I remember the nickname was the "Wobblin Goblin". It surprisingly showed a pilot carrying the flight data in a little black box mini suitcase type thing and plugging it into the cockpit.
She gave me a Squadron t-shirt that I wore the dogshit out of in 7th and 8th Grade. Had the 37th on the breast and the state of Nevada and all the Test Ranges and Areas marked on it as well a couple F-117's on it.
Yeah, the F-117 can drop missles and attack bro. Its not just a bomber. Probably should be called a A-117....but whatever.

That is true. Lockheed did an excellent job on all of the avionics and other systems. It flys great.
I did that same thing with my couch at my last apartment. Moving down 3 flights of stairs and went through the wall on the last one. Did more damage to the couch than the wall, but they both cost me money out of my pocket to fix.
You mean despite the Mig 29 never knowing it was even up there when it attacks?
One of my kids wants one. They live up to 50 years, so no chance.
post of the weekI have the weirdest boner right now…
Thirsty Thursday Rules:
On the other hand. they taste a lot better than turkeys. One of my kids wants one. They live up to 50 years, so no chance.
Bet you drank that whole cup like a dog lapping up water
I feel this man’s pain.
But you chose to play along…I feel this man’s pain.
It’s exactly how ”we” wound up owning Call Ducks.
…then “we” had to dig a hole and install a 145gal pond liner inside the chicken run so we had somewhere adequate to keep them.
…then “we” had to run power 150 feet out to said pond from the garage for a livestock tank heater to prevent the pond from freezing over.
Yeah. Love makes a man do stupid things. But you chose to play along…
You missed a prime opportunity to bury someone (and her ducks).…then “we” had to dig a hole and install a 145gal pond liner inside the chicken run so we had somewhere adequate to keep them...
I saw at least 3 people lose stages this way in bike races in the last yr alone. Race to the line, then post up and celebrate.
Should she have been DQ'd for "interfering" with the other runner?I saw at least 3 people lose stages this way in bike races in the last yr alone. Race to the line, then post up and celebrate.
@Dirty D I gave it your number. You're welcome, I know how lonely you get when mom goes to fleet week.

Yes. Fighter.
Wasn't the F117 more of a stealthy plane to drop bombs/missiles. I don't recall reading/watching anything that it had any air to air defences and I doubt it would win in any dog fight - shoot at the other plane with what. Although, would be interested to learn more, especially from anyone who actually flew one.I don’t know much about the F117, but I would bet the Aardvark had more air-to-air kills.

What I find more fascinating is that the F117 is actually 1970s technology (when it was being developed), therefore what is flying now and what is being developed now I am sure would be fascinating.
Hey, leave @Dirty D alone. He only picks on you when you really need it.Just mental illness summed up!
The F-111 Aardvark can light its own farts on fire. Its got nothing to prove as far as I'm concerned.

I was in the Home Depot parking lot and had a similar experience with another truck hauling a stack of sheetrock, he got pissed because he had to stop for a pedestrian going into the store. I waited for the pedestrian as well, going the opposite direction. When the pedestrian cleared the road he gunned his truck and laid the sheetrock out just like that. .
I remember seeing decommissioned B-52's sitting on an unused runway on Anderson AFB. I guess they were there so the Soviets could see them. Circa 1986.
