I realize I could just measure the screws and add lengths to that, but I won’t be home for a couple weeks. Oversight, I know…

I personally am NOT a fan of the more carbon fiber and less paint look. Ended up grabbing one from Altus in their Badlands camo because they still put a good amount of paint on those.

Just FYI, the latest batches of stocks I've gotten in from Manners have more paint on them now then when they were doing the "barely there" paint jobs.

Not as much paint as their original paint jobs but more for sure.

Yep, this thread scared me but here’s a Pro Hunter I got in yesterday from OTM tactical that surely was a recent build. Extremely pleased with the color.

Old thread but I've gotten interested in a lrh or ph. A friend has a ph and the grip size and location to trigger is perfect, which is good as some of the manners grips don't gel with me. I'm planning on putting a nuke 2.0 with a 22 creed barrel in it and due to optic height, the adj cheek would be better than trying to build up cheek on ph. To the guys that own both or shot both, are the grip size/distance to trigger, the same between the lrh and pH? I really like the prs1 I had, but didn't care for the t2 or t4, in terms of grip/ trigger reach.

Also, thoughts on micro chassis vs m5 mini chassis? In my head, having 2 separate bedding pieces seem like a step back from the 1 piece. Yes, if action is straight and bm is straight and both screws torqued evenly, it shouldn't matter but.... or am I just overthinking nothing?

I would personally feel better with the mini chassis in terms of stiffness, but it's an uneducated feel. If you are going for ultra light, then the micro would be the ticket.

In terms of the stocks, they both feel great and very are similar. I have both and as far as I can tell the grip sections are the same on both of them.

Probably a worthless bump - but I never built up my LRH that was bought on Black Friday of '22 and I received in July of '23 - life got in the way.

I pulled it out the box this week to start messing with, and I thought to myself 'damn this thing seems to have way less paint than my EH1 Tikka'.

Judging by others in this thread, I guess I'm not crazy lol. Not the end of the world, but I wish it had more paint as well.

As much as I like them, I’m thinking of swapping my 2x HNT26’s for 2x LRH’s.

Have been doing some reading, but how are the M5 micro chassis treating everyone? They’re basically fancy contoured preinstalled pillars, so I’m guessing no issues, but is anyone seeing zero shifts or anything like that, and if so did it go away with bedding?

If I go with the micro chassis, also need to decide on bottom metal. I need 1 SA (223AI) and 1 LA (7 PRC.) Thinking of going Hawkins hunter for the recessed/protected latch. Looks like for long action the Hawkins hunter DBM is limited to their flush fit mags only, but on the short action it will accommodate either their flush fit mags or any AICS short action mag. Is that correct?

Was also looking at the MDT hunting bottom metal with the latch locking button. The MDT LA hunting DBM would allow for their 3.85” CIP length 7 PRC flush fit mags which I already have a few of, whereas the Hawkins flush fit LA mags are shorter at 3.77” OAL (which isn’t a concern for my 7 PRC.)

Also, if anyone has used both the LRH and HNT26, I’d like to hear your thoughts comparing them…

Yep, oops. Either way I'm not at max mag length on my 7 PRC even with long heavy monos so the flush Hawkins hunter mags will work fine, just like the current metal and flush plastic MDT 7PRC mags I already have that work fine. The MDT LA bottom metal would just save me from buying new mags (not that I would have any issues buying a couple of Hawkins flush mags if I went with the Hawkins dbm.)

Never had any issues running a LRH in NRL Hunter with a mini chassis. I have an extra one I never used if anyone is looking for one or tired if waiting.

I have 1 hnt 26 and 2 LRH’s. The both are excellent options but prefer the hnt 26 if I had to choose 1. If packability had to be a strong point then the folding hnt 26 would take my vote

I guess I need to try and find someone local with an LRH so I can get behind one. I have several T4A and TCS stocks in the safe, and I'm guessing the LRH feels similar in the grip and shape only much lighter.

I do like my HNT26s... but for some reason I have the urge to try an LRH to see if I'm missing anything.

Everyone that I've known that had a HNT26 sold it. If weight is the biggest issue I would go to a XLR magnesium chassis. At least those don't suck as bad.

How does the grip compare to an EH1 as far as width, length, etc? I remember liking the dimensions on that grip but I'm not sure if the LRH is more similar to that or some of their more tactical stocks.

I order all my manners with just pillars and bed with devcon. I did pick up a pro hunter off a prize table and it had a mini chassis. I put a coup de grace action in it and it fit great and seemed real equally seated front to back but I still bedded it. Like I said it seemed great if you were to not bed but I had to submit to my OCD.

Two different BA shot well in both my unbedded LRH w/ M5 MC (sold to shave 5-6oz) and my unbedded TCS G2 MC... the LRH did want to be torqued to 65 in-lb and I've never run anything but 65 in-lb on the TCS

I do think bedding is always the way to go though
