They flew into the GMU to have lunch at The Runway Cafe in SC.Spartan Executive! Really cool.

EDIT TO ADD: Pikes Peak air show, most of these planes (war birds) you can also see at the National Museum of WWII Aviation in Colorado Springs. Worth the admission on both counts.

Here is a few Ive taken just playing around with a rented lens. Found a unique looking critter while out taking these....
A few I took at the Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Michigan in June. Just using my cell phone camera.

I work for the company that makes these. Nothing short of absolutely beautiful. Some are jaw dropping. That one is HOT AF on the ramp in GA in the summer.
Hero indeed. And I have the report that the co-pilot wrote about the mission and my uncle's death. Most of us really have no true understanding about what a meat grinder that war was.
And I have no idea where such a patch could be found....though I too would like one.

lol....nope. In the USAF aircraft I flew in, parachutes were emergency equipment only! haha But hats off to you guys who jumped out of a perfectly good aircraft trusting a chute that somebody else packed. Now that's some huevos right there. lol

Spent more time than I can remember on earlier versions of this bird. Best seat in Vietnam until you truly got to Indian Country. (Which was more often than not.)
