I subscribed to Paramount + to watch Taylor Sheridan's Landman and am not dissapointed.
I binge watched Episodes 1-5 until I got caught up and just watched 6.

I was dissapointed Tommy and his thumpers didn't completely wreck 'Manny' and the other rat on the crew involved in his son's beating. I was hoping those pipe hitting n****** would go medieval on their asses with a plier and blowtorch.

I hope they do better when they find the others involved.

My wife and I have watched 1-6.

My biggest grip is the scene when the workers are working on the stuck valve and are beating on it with a pipe wrench. The fucking workers are holding the pipe wrench backwards beating on it with a hammer.

I'm like come the fuck on at least make it look a little bit like they know what the fuck they are doing.

I'm pretty sure they went medieval on ol boy's asshole. My wife said the guy in the bedroom didn't look too beat up. I told her they were punching him in the brown eye.

The last episode was the best one.

I think Sheridan throws some things in to work with later then goes a different route. I vaguley remember something in Yellowstone that never was mentioned again. Maybe a bomb on an airplane?

Maybe just showing how badass the cartel fucks are, who knows.

Yeah, I don't think we're done seeing 'Manny'. They didn't beat him near enough and just let him off with a firing. Tommy brought up 'drug possession and probably trafficing'.

If the Sheriff doesn't find a bunch of dope in his mancamp and sends him away, I see him linking up with the cartel and making a reappearence. There would have been no other reason to paint him as a drug dealer otherwise.

I think the Sheriff will find guns and drugs whether Manny has them or not. It could go either way with him coming back with the cartel.

Sheridan killed off 2 actors that I wouldnt call well known but for sure familiar faces in the first episode ( Michael Peña, Emilio Rivera). You would think if he was going to kill off people that fast he could have gotten a couple of cheap, never seen before actors to blow up. I think when Sheridan is on to the next project and dosent want to deal with landman anymore he can bring back Manny in season 4.

Can't remember if Tommy said he's a convicted felon or not, probably is. He's been in the possession of the pistola' he keeps pointing at Tommy's son.

Correct. Given that he used an "inmate" to set up hits on the Dutton family during Yellowstone, I expect to see Manny in future episodes from behind bars...or maybe the cartel busts him out of custody during a transport?

That wasn't their only screw up. They were using the pipe wrench altogether. This was what they should have been using.

He'll probably resurface as a well saboteur for the cartel, with a personal hard-on for Tommy. His appearence will be at the very end of an episode as the face behind some heinous act.

That was the purpose of them showing a close-up of him mean mugging the camera at the very end so you'd recognize his face.

The irony is, when asked by Bill Maher if he voted Republican in a 2009 interview, BBT enphatically said "No Sir."

Given the fact Landman is based on the oil industry and his character passionately defends it versus "Clean" energy, which his character Tommy quickly points out is "Alternative" energy to the lady lawyer and there's nothing clean about it, I wonder what his political stance is now?

I agree with this part. The vulgar, open, incestuous dialogue between Tommy and the daughter, the wife and daughter is not normal, decent and is getting old. Every scene involving the daughter and Tommy is about the daughter getting fucked or cum'd on.

The middle aged wife is no better. If a wife of some guy I knew was seen in a bar alone drinking and shooting pool with and flaunting her ass to hard-dicks, it would be big gossip and the fast track to divorce. Women only do that when a marriage is over.

Then back to it's a TV show, she said it, it was funny as hell, and the look on BBT's face was priceless.

Taylor Sheridan used Yellowstone as a political tool to portray a 2nd A supporting, Gadsden Flag flying, armed militia as methed out, child trafficking zombies. He even targeted the equipment they would be using, nods and thermals. In a next episode, moob chested "I'm with Liz" Kevin Costner pointed out something to the effect "We got rid of the armed milita/child trafficers." being sure to lump the two together.

I gave him the benefit of the doubt as it was in Montana and maybe he had to kiss Liz Cheney's ass to film there but I never completed the series.

Charging the well armed militia member's stronghold on horses at night was the real crotch kicker. And then that one lousy Indian that said his painted up war pony held big medicine, I've never seen anything so fucking corny and stupid in my life.

Ok, so I look over my Paramount+ list for another series to watch because Landman turned into Life With the Bidens and a buddy suggested Lioness.

I made it halfway through the 2nd episode and called it quits. I'm not that hard to please because there aren't that many good movies to watch but Lioness is unwatchable.

The bi-racial daughter was the final straw. That is the UGLIEST fucking human I've seen in a long time. Her parents should tell her with her ugly mug and ridiculous hair, her typical militant, sullen attitude isn't going to get her far in life. She's lucky there isn't a law against that. With her round moonface mug and hair, she looks like Wilson the soccer ball in Castaway.

Someone should ask Taylor Sheridan how that Hollywood dick tastes.

We use aluminum rigid brand pipe wrenches lots cheaper, but I do have brass hammers and a few brass combo wrenches on my truck.

Today's programming always have one of three components:
1 - Women in leading role.
2 - Interracial couple.
3 - Gays.

Between that and the news, network and streaming TV went bye bye in 2020 for me. My internet is limited to my phone.

I just buy pre 2015 series and movies on DVD to watch. I'm not a boomer, but I have found a lot of great movies were made in the 60s and 70s. I try to avoid TV as much as possible, but 9pm-11pm seems to be my wind down time.

I haven't watched Landman, but I saw all the attention it was getting. I figured just give it time, they will turn the wheel left. Sounds like it got there?

Plays bad ass in the office world while Tommy is shown facing Cartels/Oil field disasters/Crazied X/Hoodlum help/Bodily injury ect ect.
Kinda like the Daughter and X.
Fucking off creating problems while the men in the family are getting shit done/facing true adversity.
A perfect example of the real world, albeit old school men.

The wrench may be aluminum but the jaws that actually contact the pipe are steel and can cause sparks. I've never seen those other hi$ wrenches but if they are going to prevent sparks, their jaws must be something besides steel. I only worked on drilling rigs, so what kind of wrenches the production people have to use is out of my dept.
