Not saying this isn't an abortion of a "bi-partisan" bill, but pretending that Republicans put all that egregious stuff in there or that any of them are for it is equally bullshit.
The margins are razor thin, and every time the government has been shut down, even when it's 100% the fault of the Democrats, the Republicans get blamed, and the idiot public buys their narrative.
To get the Democrats to vote for anything it basically has to be the antithesis of anything pro-American tax payer. Oh, you want money for the suffering people in North Carolina, give us money and fund our left-wing censorship complex, and on and on and on...
Pretending you don't have to deal with them is what's bullshit. If they want to draw a hard line they have to get out there on every podcast and every hostile news channel and make the case. They CANNOT just vote NO. They have to get out there and media blitz and hang this on the necks of the Democrats like a week old albatross. If they fail and the Dems win again right out of the gates with a lame duck senate. They have a track record of doing that.
I don't fault Johnson for wanting to avoid a loss in the first post election fight. That said, if they're going to fight then they need to go to general quarters and put all hands on deck fighting it and blow the commie motherfuckers away using every media tool in the box, and then throw the box at them. If they want to avoid the government shutting down, getting blamed for it again, and throwing a pall over their victory then every single person in Congress needs to go on every show and scream to the skies about how bad this is and who is responsible. They can do that and win, but the Democrats are incredibly vindictive and it will make the next two years a brutal fight...which is what we need, but don't pretend that the attitude of SH in terms of our fucks to give over a government shut down are shared by the wider American people. Most people are dumb as fuck and see a government shut down as a failure rather than a win, because they don't understand that shutting the government down does absolutely nothing, as 85% of it is a useless waste of money in the first place. Yea, preaching to the choir shut the motherfucker down! The American people aren't there yet, though they're getting there.
