50 pounds of rice or grits will fit in exactly 13.5 2L soda bottles with a 100cc oxygen absorber and will last indefinitely if kept in reasonable conditions.

I opened some from 2017 recently and it was perfect.

Mormons figured that PETE plastic bottle magic @LeftyJason 😘
That's nothing.

I've got 9 5 gallon buckets of turkey red wheat passed down from my mom who has had it for 30+ years. They bought tons a long time ago and my mom has been making 4 loaves of bread a week or every other week with this Bosch that she has had 35+ years. Had to grease it and replace the plug but that's it.

Fine. I must do everything around here. Averaging 65 mph for an 8 hour shift, 5 days per week, with 2 weeks of vacation and 10 holidays (48 x 5 day weeks) this could have been done in just over 8 years. Doing it in 14 seems kinda slackery. 🤣
Not everything needs to be visualized as a math problem.
How Asian are you?

If ranching paid his bills he probably would have done only that. Once the truck is in the mix money wise, a guy might as well pull a few loads for $$ when ranching is slow. Probably parks the truck for calving and haying etc. If he is the relief truck for the steady haulers’ vacations etc it works.
Cows made me a modest living while allowing me to raise my sons how and where I wanted, in the middle of God's own Cattle Country.
They learned how to hunt and fish in the middle of where people pay good money to come and do the same.

After the last boy graduated HS, I found my nights free so took up the truck.
I am the only driver hauling to two stations with bulk plants that also do rural deliveries.
I never just "park the truck", I fit it in.

I do all my own fencing, calving, haying, cattle work (with neighbors help for branding and shipping etc)

The cows still pull their weight, the truck allows me to have operating capitol, stay debt free and drive a newer pickup and upgrade equipment sooner. Also insulates me from market fluctuations.

And it keeps my gun safes from having an empty hollow sound. 😉
