He pulled a fuel tank most likely local deliveries, no 8 hours of highway running. I've done about 2.5 million pulling multi axle grossing 150,000+ in the last 20 years and 99% of that entirely in Michigan. Lots of 2 lane and average length of each load around 3-4 hours. I put in 65 to 70 hours a week with a substantial part of that being loading and unload time. I've been pulling B-train flatbeds almost exclusively for the last 14 years.
You sound like you drive more full time and my hat is off to you.

Depending on which pipeline I load at and which bulk plant I deliver to (I do not deliver to the country, they have tankwagons for that) my round trips can be 360, 406, 450 or 496. I think they call those dedicated routes.

l don't know how the math works out on hours per week but at the end of that pay period I had totaled

1,000,413 miles
17,398 hours driving
4,723 hours on duty

and just for shits and giggles 19,134,880 gallons of gas diesel and propane hauled.

It's been a good gig and I feel fortunate to have it.

And, averaging 65mph, as was used in the post, is not realistic.

First glance I thought that was the biggest Afro I ever saw!!

So I'm guessing you missed out on Soul Train and the "natural" hair movement ... basically the 60s in general and parts of the 70s and 50s.

Personally I'll never understand how topiaries and afros never got blended in the fashion world ... or I missed it.

I like the Dahli Lama a little bit outside of memes now. As an aside and slightly related strory...
I lived in Madison WI for a long time, he visits the city often, involved in some research at the UW. There is a Tibetan monastery in town because of his frequently being there... During one of my wife's stops at Staples for office supplies she witnessed two Tibetan monks, wearing the traditional pajama looking thing, in a heated argument over which color post it notes to buy. Monks swearing at each other loudly over weather pink or yellow post it's were a better buy.
I have always found that to be hilarious. The most peaceful, figured it out, devoted to peace guys in the world... fighting over paper.
