I always condemned the policy to hand Panama over to whoever wanted to weasel-in on our strategic choke point between the Pacific and Caribbean/Atlantic.
It made absolutely zero sense from a US perspective, and I can only attribute it to treason.
I never thought I would live to see the day that a US President would initiate some policy to get Panama back.
I certainly never thought one would be as bold as Trump on this issue.

The recent massive influx of immigrants is the biggest issue right now IMO.
And the fact is, we have a huge Latino population that can make serious waves now.
Mexicans and 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc generation Mexican Americans make up the vast majority of immigrants and recent descendants of immigrants, by a HUGE margin/amount.
Mexicans & Mexican-Americans are by and large, good hardworking people in my experience. And apparently quite a sizable amount of them voted for Trump this go-around!
That said, hear me out here: amnesty for Mexicans. And Deport every other nationality immigrant that came into the country the past 4 years. I know, crazy right! But we're gonna need much much more Latino support han we currently have, to pull off mass deportation at this point in time.
The Cartels are a problem yes for sure.
But they tend to keep the violence and extorting and other things directly victimizing/affecting innocent people on their side of the border. And the recent influx of the huge amount of immigrants from places like Venezuela who are creating gangs that are terrorizing American citizens, the 1000+ Al Qaeda/Taliban/ISIS-K/etc operatives from Afghanistan which are now within the USA that Sarah Adams mentioned on Shawn Ryan's podcast, etc. are a WAYYY WAY FAR bigger problem than the Cartels!!
