Ingenuity Powder System

A couple questions, if you don't mind, please:

1) How does the 300i compare to the 120i (other than maximum capacity)? Do you notice anything you like better or less than the 120i?

2) Did you have to do anything to the cup (dryer sheet, graphite powder, etc) to prevent kernels from sticking to the inside like one of the first posters to get it experienced?

Thanks

They are the exact same scale. The only difference is total weight 120gr vs 300grams. There is no other difference they are the exact same scale.. I only have one because I got it brand new for stupid cheap from these marijuana dispensaries going out of business

Only thing I did was wipe everything down with 99% alcohol I didn't do anything else

I appreciate the help, i guess I got confused with some comments.

I was talking to Paul last night about how great it is I'm ordering another one and getting rid of these five other cups I have here for my second scale that all bounce kernels including the dead drop one off eBay linked earlier I have kernels bouncing out of that this week too and it's stupid heavy
Yeah, The DeadDrop cup is a lot better but it's not 100%. I never doubted thar whatever Paul came up with would work very well but nice for someone I know to use it and agree. Looks awesome man!

I loaded 100rd of 6.5cm last night. 42gr H4350 and it was awesome.

The V3 thrower runs much faster and holds on the top stroke to ensure all powder is out.. the IP trickler flies to within 0.15 or so, takes a reading then flies to drop the exact calculated amount of reaming kernels to stop on 42gr..

No kernels spilled. Loving this thing so far.

Not to sound like a broken horse... But this sounds exactly like the V3+IP. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Right?

are you just being a smartass or did you not read the last 10 posts in this thread?? 🤷‍♂️
No, I'm not being a smart ass. I'm genuinely curious. I have invested in the IP system since day 1. So, I'm not seeing how your description is any different than the V3+IP setup. But if you feel that is too silly to answer, then disregard my question.

Well the last 10 posts discussed all that.

New electronics. Operates the V3 differently with better drivers, operates the V3 much faster than AT electronics. Pauses the V3 at the up stroke for larger charges to ensure all powder drops before it closes, and allows you to adjust the pause time at the up stroke... up/down strokes are much faster and quieter.

Instead of a ramp down of the IP with AT electronics the new IG electronics actually runs full blast to drop a set amount of kernels to get close, takes a reading than drops the exact number of kernels to get to set charge weight based off number of notches in thr disc and initial calibration with said powder and disc.

New electronics let's you save your powders in the system after each calibration. No more tuning over and over when switching between powders.

New IP cup doesn't bounce kernels out like all the other cups up until now (i have them all here) and it weighs half the weight of the rest..

That's the difference between AT+ IP vs IP electronics + V3 Thrower + IP Trickler...

With the new electronics you can calibrate the trickler and use everything stand alone. It does also have an App you can use. It made my throws much faster

So flipped through it casually are those electronics available for sale?

NiteQwill,
Padom just received the new electronic controller that is for my new system and is using it to operate the V3 thrower and my trickler.
It operates the thrower a bit differently. You can control the pause at the top of the dump stroke to either reduce time on a small load or add more pause to make sure all of a large throw has time to come out and then it will return down at a faster speed. Even using the controller this way you still also have the added benefit of calibrating the powder to the trickler and then saving those settings for that load. No more messing with the slider!
This of course is just allowing him to start using parts of the system until everything else is ready to ship.

Yep. Electronics and cup are ready to.buy now. If you already have a pre-order you pay the portion for those parts and get them.now and when the IP dumper and windscreen are ready you pay the remaining balance and they ship to you

Appreciate the clarification from you and @padom 👍🏾👍🏾

I'll send you an email on the electronics request. Ty

Man this thread gives me a headache...LOL.

I've been running the DIY setup with Lee+ IP controlled by Iphone...
its a gazillion time better than hand trickling, regardless of speed.

I'm sure you can make it faster with another $1200 in cost,
but for me, IMHO, just getting out of tube-trickler game is major victory.

I wouldn't mind upgrading this ghetto system with a keypad vs ipad,
but honestly the "old" app (at least on iphone) isn't a dealbreaker.

The one thing I would really like is a better zero method,
ie if I put a cup with zero powder, I want the scale to zero the cup.

Eg if loading 24.0 varget, and put a cup with 20gr or less powder,
let the scale just read the cup weight.

Right now it just sprays powder trying to "speed-trickle" 24 grains LOL.

I'm on here today so if anyone has any questions fire away. Everyone knows I don't check in here often
Hey! Get off the forum and get back to work....people are waiting for your new full system (lol....just joking, of course).

Would you perhaps care to give us a bit more information on where you are at with production and what are the remaining bottlenecks? Or not! haha

Look forward to that email to convert my pre-order to an order.

Best of luck and cheers

Well, of course the question on everyone's mind is, "When do you expect to start shipping the first complete systems?" I think late March is the date we last saw, correct?
That is my current schedule I'm trying for. Still have a few things coming from over seas and Chinese New Year screws up almost a month. I also have a few more machine parts to finish and then off to anodize. I already have a lot of the controls ready is why I decided to offer now for those that just couldn't wait any longer. I have all of the 3d printed parts done for the first 1000 and a lot of the machine parts are done also just not everything. My shop is piled to the ceiling with boxes of parts and components. I even already have the new foam box inserts for shipping done. I know it's been a long wait but it really is almost there.

So you complain that he didn’t read the last 10 posts and then you re-summarize them again thus multiplying the redundancy?

That doesn’t make any sense either, especially as “we” have become punctilious about policing this thread

I noticed on the web site that you are able to download an Android app. However a search for iPhone here or the web site did not yield a definitive answer. Is there Ingenuity AT V3 upgrade iPhone software?

I got a shipping notice
IMG_1069.jpeg

I ordered a scale, electronics and trickler. Had a receipt and shipping order in a few hours. I needed an upgraded system now so I opted to get everything currently available from IG and just use a cheap Lee powder measure to do dumps within a couple grains of final loads. Maybe I will get the rest when it comes available (who am I kidding I am sure i will).....it will definitely be a nicer package and a litle faster. I plan on running 2 same weight cups so my frankenstein set up will be much faster and more precise than the dual RCBS 1500's I use now.
