Trump is back…the “Now What” thread

One word...this guy is "CORRUPT."

How these people get reelected is mind-blowing. I truly hope something comes of term limits. That he is vice-chair of Senate "Intelligence" committe is disgusting. Good thing "Intelligence" isn't an actual requirement to be elected because I dare say at least 50% would be gone.

Congressional hearings = yipping Chihuahuas.
yup. as devon nunes explained to kash patel back in the russiagate hoax era, the hearings are mostly show, because they can't do shit.
in this case, if they ask them if they are violating federal law by shielding illegal alien criminals, they'd probably plead the 5th.

Short of tribunals, ASGH just because of the time that each trial takes, and of course they will drag it out...

if there is no other option...

The electrical grid is already teeter-tottering....so strike that option. Though I didn't realize we had a combination steel, wood, hemp/nylon shortage. No lead/copper shortage either if AJ, wherever/whomever he may be, were to donate 1%.

But no thanks, I don't want my tax $$$ taking care of HARDENED CRIMINALS who are ILLEGALLY in the USA.

i prefer the idea of outsourcing this to el salvador.
they seem to have perfected mass incarceration of hardened criminals, and i'm pretty certain it will be cheaper.
of course, this is only as long as it takes to repatriate them to their home country.

imho, mexico fucked up by letting them go through their country to get here (along with the countries south of them).
we should hold them responsible if the criminals entered via mexico.

Bukele does have the process down. they act or look cartel? off to holding pen, forever i think is his process. guess Miranda is not an El Salvador deal. if we did send them there,we might have to send some $ but well spent. i don't think there they are supplied with gyms, computers and college courses. so,cheaper than here.
i still say any illegal guilty of ANY violent crime should be immediately executed. maybe they didn't do it? TS arbitrary execution would reduce the invading numbers thinking they were trying to sneak into a land of welfare milk and honey.

Mara Salvatrucha 13.

That's a good chunk of money.
Why don't we build some houses for veterans that live under bridges and or any of them in need.
california spends millions on homeless people, but the scumbags that get that funding don't do anything to help, because if they end homelessness, the money stops flowing.

this is similar to "doctors" that treat people with mental illness. if they actually help people, that paycheck disappears.

it was still funded by the NIH

No, it was not. The scientific paper and associated chart was NOT funded by the NIH. And even if it was, it is quite irrelevant. you said:

i think he just wants .gov to stop recommending crap instead of real food like eggs and beef.

The publishers of this chart makes no such recommendations. The purpose of the chart was to illustrate the shortcomings of the Food Compass Nutrient Profiling System. It illustrates that arbitrary grading systems can make any food in any category look "better" or more nutritious than another.

so you're full of shit (and clotshots).

You obviously have difficulty reading, apparently unable to comprehend anything posted with actual information, and can only reply with childish insults.

Are you seriously quoting snopes?

Hahaha 😆! Snopes!!

But a picture posted in this forum, with no source, no attribution, no explanation, and simply an ignorant comment is the ultimate source for knowledge. That sounds just about right.

But, since you cannot or will not read anything from that despicable source, I can provide the actual paper the chart came from, which was linked in the Snopes article. It does explain the intent of the chart, and the funding source for the folks that wrote it. You know...real, actual information...

And an excerpt:

"Although there are many justified scores, the above-mentioned limitations of Food Compass (among others not covered in this Perspectives paper) result in numerous unjustified scores. For example, kale receives the same score as watermelon, despite the large difference in nutrient density and fiber between the 2 foods (Figure 1). Surprisingly, Frosted Mini Wheats, Honey Nut Cheerios, nonfat frozen yogurt, sweet potato fries, calcium-fortified orange juice, and chocolate-covered almonds all receive top scores (≥70, “to be encouraged”). In contrast, foods, such as millet, whole wheat bread, skinless chicken breast, boiled eggs, and whole milk, are assigned lower scores (31–69, “to be moderated”), which are comparable with those of sweet potato chips, Lucky Charms, canned pineapple in sugar syrup, almond M&Ms, and ice cream cones with nuts. Moreover, all the aforementioned items score higher than ground beef, cheddar cheese, and whole eggs fried in butter (≤30, “to be minimized”)."

Food Compass did not make the chart.
well...

The nutrition scientists who put the chart together (using Food Compass' data) contended the following in their paper: "While a conceptually impressive effort, we propose that the chosen algorithm is not well justified and produces results that fail to discriminate for common shortfall nutrients, exaggerate the risks associated with animal-source foods, and underestimate the risks associated with ultra-processed foods. We caution against the use of Food Compass in its current form to inform consumer choices, policies, programs, industry reformulations, and investment decisions."
