  • You Should Now Be Receiving Emails!

The email issued mentioned earlier this week is now fixed! You may also have received previous emails that were meant to be sent over the last few days - apologies, this was a one time issue and shouldn't happen again!

I hope you don't have to return anything to Grafs

Or you know you could just realize that your Gmail B.S. is run by a bunch of 2A hating Indians who might just you know put e-mails from 2A companies into spam folders and maybe every so often you take a quick check in that folder.

I check my spam folders regularly to see if anything went there that I needed, and quite often something did.

Really, you didn't bother checking your spam folder first and were whining that you never got the e-mails.
That's like the first thing you do.

I clear my spam folder daily.
It takes all of one whole minute.
Totally wears me out.

Hint: it takes longer to go on the Hide to start a thread about being unhappy about a company.

pored; poring
Synonyms of pore
intransitive verb

: to gaze intently

—usually used with over

You are absolutely completely out of your league here if you're going to try to pick on my vocabulary, semantics, or understanding of homonyms.
I’ll be darned! I’ve been writing that wrong my entire life, lol. Thanks for correcting me!

It’s true. I was out of my league when it comes to homonyms, but you’re clearly outclassed when it comes to understanding restocking fees.

I ordered several bushings, $27 each, realized a few of them were way off from what I need, so I went to return them. Here's what they make you do

Call or email
Get RMA from Darla
send it back, pay for shipping
Pay 10% restocking fee

Darla never called back as the answerer on #3 told me she would 10 days ago. So I sent two emails over the past week. No reply so today I called again. Darla comes on the phone, says she emailed me twice. Did it go to spam? I don't know, I don't have time to pore through multiple folders. One thing for sure, there was no "reply" to the email streams I sent to [email protected], forwarding my original invoice so that the order # was right there. gmail shouldn't relocate to spam a reply to an active email stream.

Are they trying to make it difficult on purpose? Yes, is my guess.

Some of these places need to get with the 2020s. This is why people just buy their shit on amazon whenever they can. Easy Peasy.
If you think that experience was bad, wait until you see the customer service from the old boomers in this place! They LOVE them some restocking fees, some spam filtering, and some 1980s business practices!

Because I know where you’re going with it, you want to claim that I used all of the bushings and shouldn’t return them

Because that’s exactly what I do. I try the middle one and it’s perfect so then I fuck around with the others just to prove what is already known, right?

Plus, they are steel bushings in Ziploc bags not Swarovski scopes in sealed packaging FFS

If you know where I'm going with it, why would you not acknowledge that before now.
You did remove them from their packaging and used them even if just once or twice.

and shouldn’t return them
You are pulling that one out of your ass.
I don't think I even slightly alluded that you shouldn't return them.

I simply think it is stupid that you are bitching about a justified restocking fee.
A fee that they publicly informed your about prior to your order being entered.

Because that’s exactly what I do. I try the middle one and it’s perfect
You ordered 3 bushings with a spread of 2 thousandths between each! You must not have done any research at all into what your needed range should have been. You did close to zero due diligence before placing your order figuring you could just be sloppy and the manufacturer would wipe your ass afterwards.

so then I fuck around with the others
fuck around = removed from factory packaging and put them in contact with dies and or cases.

Plus, they are steel bushings in Ziploc bags not Swarovski scopes in sealed packaging FFS
Simply shipping things puts more wear and tear on their packaging and labeling.

I'm now 100% sure you would be the same dude starting a new thread to bitch about Graf & Sons shipping you a bushing in packaging that was obviously already opened.

Then God help us if you happened to see a molecule of brass, grease or a scratch even hinting that some opened and "fucked around with" them.

The point was already made above that pulling, packing and shipping your order cost money that has to be built into the seller's margin. If they are lucky enough to then sell and ship it to another customer, they recover their cost but not their original, intended margin.

It may be an unfair comparison, unless the products are available at both Grafs and Amazon.

For example, today, I bought two pairs of WARNE rings that were available on the WARNE website for $99 plus a reasonable shipping fee, and they were available on Amazon for $100 with no shipping.

I was going to default to WARNE because I would rather them make the full profit rather than sharing it with a third-party, even if it cost me more overall because of the shipping. But then I thought to myself “if I have any problems and want to return this, I can do it completely hasslefree with no questions asked from Amazon”

So, WARNE lost that sale and Grafs will lose subsequent business from me when, ceteribus paribus, the return policy of their competitors is more favorable
You can compare Amazon all day long but that is not a relevant model.
Not even close.

Amazon is a middle-man platform that is the 2nd largest business in the U.S. only behind Wal-Mart.
WalMart has the esteemed reputation for putting more suppliers and related entities out of business than any mismanagement or recession would have. Amazon is on track for the same reputation.

Amazon is right in there with WalMart on some of their draconian policies they demand from any vendor that uses their platform. Many still sell through them because are hoping they can offset waste with volume.

Certainly. I'm not going to argue that. Yet here you are acknowledging my ridiculous statement.

Every member of this forum already knows that I'm already a booger eating moron.

It's a sad day when some things are so obviously wrong, even I can see it.

Terry Cross, can I buy a rifle, use it, and return it for full refund and you pay shipping?

Sounds pretty silly….

Applies to all things

Love Graf’s
Will continue to use and order what I need.

Small business > Bezos Mart all day any day.
Costs me a little more and Im glad to support them, esp in the gun world

Yeah I don't buy from those places unless it's something I 100% will not be returning, like gunpowder lol.

Also it sounds like you took it out of the package so you're double fucked

Better off listing them on Ebay for 2$ less than everybody else than returning them

Fify
People ask for stupid money on ebay you gotta know your prices.

If you're returning something make sure they give you gas money.

The only thing I plan on returning is some used liquid. Hopefully, it gets back into the ocean where it belongs.

I did make a purchase on the way here.
Can I return it, if I only use it once?

Well, this thread is in the process of taking the turn for the better and what was hoped for yesterday.
Entertainment rating is now up to maybe a 5.5/10......present value.
With a little luck and effort ,this sucker may reach 10/10 status.

Fingers are crossed

I should rename the post "restocking fees suck!" but I don't want to deprive you guys of the entertainment I have provided thus far

Well, I was going to ask you guys what you though about my 20-something neighbors whose propane grill caught fire tonight on an isolated concrete pad and I told them to go get a hose. They refused, saying "YOU DON'T PUT WATER ON A GREASE FIRE" and, unpersuaded, they stood there for 10 minutes and watched it burn. Now I'm afraid you're going to tell me they were right.

OTOH, my firefighter friend, on learning of this said "I would put the wet stuff on the red stuff" LOL

Different folks, different strokes, I guess hahahha

You're right, professor. But you get a D- for punctuation. Maybe you should "pore" intently over your choice of dots and dashes on your keyboard. Maybe the people at Graf's didn't understand your point because your punctuation sucked in your email.

There's an idea for some of our illustrious black gun gurus to try.

How about getting all the different anal lubes and testing which one works the best as an AR lubricant.

Once it's determined, the Navy can swap out and get dual use out of a single product.

Explain the "Realized". Did you try them or just measure them?

You ordered them knowing that you were going to return at least two of them and possibly all three and never read the return policy. Then you came here acting like a Karen about the return policy. You should have your name flagged just so anyone that might participate in a transaction with you will know what kind of person they are dealing with.

Yup. Return shipping? Easier to keep it in a box for my executor to wonder about.
