I see this whole “you have to wear your earring protection, whether you have a suppressor or not” argument a lot
Yet nobody criticizes the guy who doesn’t double up his earplugs with muffs on top
Your ears only care about decibels (sound pressure level)
The question is, what decibel level is safe?
I strongly suspect that the decibels of a braked 338LM at the ear with hearing protection on is greater than my 308 suppressed without hearing protection on
But I would like to see a comprehensive research study or analysis about this issue

Who cares? They’re both loud. Wear ears or don’t, it’s your hearing/disability on the line - not mine. Back to the cans now…

Shout out to @Zak Smith and Thunder Beast for absolutely kick ass customer support. Last Saturday I submitted a support question for a new can with a note that a reply during the work week would be great. 11 MINUTES after I submitted the question Zak responded with a detailed answer to my question. I'd read about their amazing customer support, but this still blew me away as totally above and beyond my expectations. RTR.
Picked up a 50% cert from the Rifles Only Brawl last weekend and submitted it for a Magnus K RR, and was quoted a wait time of June 2026 to November 2026 for anyone else curious about cert wait times.
Takes me back to ordering my first cans in like 2015, except this time I'm not waiting on the ATF. I'm just hoping the short wait times are still there when mine is finally delivered lol.

INTRODUCING THE 22 TAKE DOWN GEN2
We are pleased to announce a design revision on the 22 TAKE DOWN. The “GEN2” model has similar suppression performance (a little bit quieter on pistol) but is more compact and lighter. This version is only 4.8 inches long and weighs 4.8 ounces.
Existing orders for the 22 TAKE DOWN will be shipped the GEN2 version starting now.

It might not be that bad. I used a cert on Aug 27th for an Ultra 7 - estimated lead time was quoted as 6/2/25-9/14/25. It shipped to the local ffl on 2/12 and I already have the stamp and can in hand. I don't know the reasons behind why it was so much sooner than quoted but I'm certainly not complaining.
I got an Ultra 9 sooner than quoted but I also got a 22 Takedown that missed the quoted deadline.
I would expect it to ship towards the end of their estimated lead time. If it ships sooner great.
