Official (DTA) SRS, HTI, Covert, Hunter Thread

I just got an HTI50 and mounted my scope on high rings (1.34"). I was able to get a decent cheek weld when I was initially getting a rough sight-in done from the prone position, but when I went to shoot it from the bench I noticed exactly what you described. I felt like I had to lay my temple flat on the cheek piece in order to just barely get any alignment. I read one of the replies below about rotating the rifle slightly toward me and aligning the scope with gravity as a workaround, but it just seems like for a $7k+ precision rifle, there has to be a better way. I'm looking at the eratac 1.85" mount thinking it might be high enough. Does anyone here have any experience with this? Or alternatively, has anyone come up with any other solutions? Thanks!
I added 2 scalarworks .69" risers to mine. It's a lot more ergonomic for me now. They are supposed to be coming out with a longer riser within the next month if they haven't already, it'll be the same height though.

Today I had a few individuals out for a shoot with the 375CT and my new "Blast Shields "
A few had never shot past 800yds!!

We shot from 1200 to 2000yds...
80 shots in total...

All thoroughly enjoyed it and were shocked how docile the Cheytac was !!
My added weights combined with the Shields make it an absolute joy to shoot ....thus the 80 rounds today..

So what’s the best way to remove the little bit of creep in an A2 trigger? It’s not bad, but I notice it.
Front screw towards the barrel on the trigger. Place on safety, screw down until it stops, back of just enought that safety will operate back and forth.

Just noticed you said A2....that was for A1 trigger which may be the same????

It’s not the same, completely different trigger unfortunately. They should’ve just kept the A1 trigger with a straight shoe.

I conquer. I’ve owned an A1 and two A2’s. The A1’s had better triggers. The A2’s are very usable, but still not as good as an A1. My current A2 has a tiny amount of felt creep before it breaks. Would like to at least remove that creep if possible but there’s nothing really to adjust.

I posted how last year sometime. Take off the skins and you’ll clearly see the sear and the transfer bar. Polish the two where they engage. I used a flat tabletop and extra fine sandpaper and lightly massaged the surfaces. Use very little pressure. Add a small dab of grease putting it back together and the creep will be gone.

Not all have creep. I sold a SRS-A2 that had none and I currently have a SRS-M2 that has absolutely none from the factory as well. I had another A2 that I had to polish and it was gone.

Did some creeping on old posts and found what you mentioned. I’ll definitely give it a try. Appreciate it
