It's real easy...Ok, just keep going right on down the employee list. I’ll happily do it if she doesn’t want to be a meany-face aboot kicking everyone’s ass once curb
It's real easy...
First sentence: A business decision has been made and it affects your job.
Second sentence: The decision is final.
Third sentence: Come with me to HR, they will explain the next steps.
While they are in HR weeping and wailing, pack up all their shit into cardboard boxes and take them out to the lobby. When they are done with HR, HR escorts them out to the lobby and they can't get back into the building.
I actually did this at Intuit during layoffs. Very effective. After this was done, HR asked me if I needed to see a grief counselor. I just look at them and asked why. They said, we thought you might be stressed. I just looked at them and had one word... NO.
I'm sure they thought I was pscyo.

I’m there right now. They have neither the foresight to tell me what their plan is, nor the decisiveness to send me packing. All fun to do to others until you are no longer needed either and somebody does it to you.
And folks wonder why intelligent employees have no loyalty to corporations...

Furthermore, we urge you to “continue collaboration to improve the process for” NationalFirearms Act applications. Congress recently instructed ATF to make these improvements.13While NFA wait times have improved significantly, ATF must continue to “address ongoingdelays in application processing times” until the archaic process is at least as efficient as theNational Instant Criminal Background Check System. There is no reason that the right topurchase a firearm should be so greatly delayed; a right delayed is a right denied. ... Sincerely ... A few senators that still have some balls.
As congressman Charlie Wilson said: “You can teach them to type, but you can’t teach them to grow tits!”

I received four approved form 1's yesterday. All were filed electronically on different dates, some as much as 4 months ago, some as soon as one month ago. No clue as to what that means or how to interpret, I'm just glad I didn't have to get my Congressman involved like the ones before them. On a somewhat related note, check out the progress on my Roaring 20's and Motorized Bandit's guns in the Vintage thread as I can now begin work on three guns.Just wondering what all this head chopping in the agencies is going to do to tax stamp wait times.
Man W54 you are exactly correct. Truer words have not been written on the Hide. I've been "corporately reorganized" 3 times due to budget cuts or somebody trying to prove a point and it's hurt VERY deeply everytime. And it wasn't because I was some goofoff. I cared about my job and tried to do it better or smarter or cheaper everyday. But once you hit certain salary numbers it's like a bullseye on your back. And you're also correct about employees not having loyalty to the company - I went over and above being "engaged" and what did it get me? I developed the same attitude I've heard soldiers describe; I came to realize I owed no loyalty to the company but I owed loyalty to my fellow employees who depended on me.All fun to do to others until you are no longer needed either and somebody does it to you.
