The Vudu 3-9x scope is in the house !

Let me know what you want to see, we'll go live to include at the Range (weather permitting)

Super excited to run this little guy !

Interested to see what you think of it. Strap it on a DMR of some flavor and show us what it can do at 600m. I’m wondering if one of those on a youth howa mini 6 ARC would be the ticket for my 8yr olds first big game hunt next fall.

Zeroed it at 100 yards, (On 5x by mistake) and at 5x the center dot covers 3" at 100. It covers 2" at 9x.

The Antelope target is at 388 yards, the scope is on 5x in this image, the center dot 3"

I went live for 30 minutes talking about all the things I didn't look at ahead of time, basically was unfolding this on camera, and here is the link to the Link

Want it in MIL. Turrets can stay capped. Hopefully that happens. Will probably grab one for my 16" 300 BLK I use dedicated for supers if that happens. The mount is mini acog compatible, so you can swap it out if you like.

People tend to get scared off with the .3mil/1moa center dot on the HG2-12 so I wonder how they'll react to this??

Does it have daylight bright illume?

Before you mentioned it I was thinking the same thing - put it on a tactical lever action using straight walled cases.

Too narrow of niche for me personally but for hunting big game in some scenarios.

It's small I'll give em that.

The dot being 2 MOA at 9x is a huge turn-off. Overall this interests me though. I’ll keep an eye out for the FFP mil tree version.

Edit: it’s 1.25 MOA. Still a little thick, but not terrible for the style of scope.

I am looking forward to seeing what it can do. Like you my first thought was to throw it on a lever gun with a red dot but then if they come out with a MIL/FFP I would use that straight up on an AR15 and I think it would be great (compact, lightweight, more usable mag range compared to a 1-8 or 1-10, assuming more forgiving eye box, etc)

I guess if I were going to ask questions it would be eye relief and how forgiving the eye box is, and glass clarity. Sounds like they would have a new reticle for the FFP/Mil version anyway...

I love the concept of this scope, not so sure about the execution due to the extremely short design. Love the idea of the ACOG compatibility. Would like to hear your thoughts on how forgiving the scope is to get behind, any strange things going on optically (is 3x really distorted/fisheye and/or is 9x pretty blurry)?

As it exists today in SFP flavor I think the lever gun application is ideal for something like this... as a crossover type of scope for a bolt action I'm not convinced, I think most would still prefer the longer more traditional scopes. If Eotech does come out with a FFP mil version it could open some doors but a lot depends on how much compromise they made to get the super short optical formula...

I saw one comment on this optic that made me think, some one my FB said Eotech is on to something new, no rings.

It made me stop to think, they are right in a lot of ways, the question becomes can they do this with a bigger scope.

Imagine no mounting issues, the mount is built in all the time. It’s just a question of scale ? Can they ramp it up to a larger optic and make it work ?

March was working on something like this. Trijicon has the VCOG line with the ACOG mount footprint machined into the body forging as well.
