Department of Education.. buh bye!!!

Let's take an "educated" guess. She was given honors because she's got brown skin and is female.

This is also what happens when everyone is supposed to graduate with the "no child left behind" policies.

This story isn't unique because she can't read or write. There are lots of children graduating high school that are functionally illiterate.

The crazy thing about this is that she graduated with honors! She's also enrolled in college but doesn't go to classes. She probably used an APP to pass the ACT/SAT tests.

Would an illiterate white boy be able to graduate with honors and enroll in college?

Wow, that's a real thing. I'd never heard about such a situation before.
But about "when everyone is supposed to graduate with the "no child left behind" policies." - is this still going? I know a lot of situations where students were expelled because they failed classes. In my university, there is no such thing. If you're missing deadlines or failing classes, there will be consequences for that. Last term, two of my groupmates were expelled, so that's why I always do my best. My weakness is writing, and I always have the word grades on the writing tasks. So now I dedicate more time to it and use the help of https://essay-company.org/ if there is a need because I don't want to miss the deadline or to make my general results worse. Of course, nothing bad will happen in case of something, but I don't want to risk it, and I'm interested in graduating with real knowledge and skills.

Home schooling is the answer. At least through grade 8. And then, independent private High Schools for all the kids that were Home Schooled. And maybe some sort of hybrid place (not necessarily a school) where the kids currently being home schooled go to be with and associate with other home schooled kids and learn all the socialization/behavioral rules, take PE Classes and learn Team sports/playing, or learn drama (plays) etc, etc. Non Academic things one would learn in the standard school setting.

I've long said that someone who wants to become really rich will start a chain of private K-12 schools... on a franchise model.

Called the Three-R's Academy... it would teach the classic Reading, 'riting and 'rithmatic along with history and civics. It would be modeled on schools from the '30's through the early '60's when the USA had among the best public education system in the world.

In today's world, it should probably be complemented with a trade school option from, say, 10 - 12 that taught skills and involved for-credit apprenticeships.

With federal funding now moving to states and, ideally, private academies... and parental choice... now is the time! Oh and no %$#@ Karens from local school board. No federal mandates. No special ed. No 'favorites or no child left behind...' just a merit based system for kids AND teachers/staff.

Cheers,

Sirhr

Yup... It's what I do if I ever hit the "Zillion $$$" lottery. But one of the issues is that any such new K-12 franchise network has to get accreditation somehow. So we'd have to set up our own accreditation thing as well, simply because I think that's one of the ways the existing teacher's unions and BOEs would try to thwart any such private franchise network... simply by declaring them "not accredited."

Once enough smart kids start graduating, the colleges will have to accept their accreditation. They need the $$$ more than they need a union certificate.

Colleges are in the midst of a massive enrollment gap. There are going to be huge failures and retirements/layoffs of professors in the tier-two and three colleges. Meanwhile trade programs are booming. The up-and-coming generation isn't getting fooled by society's 'need' to produce interpretive dance PhD's. Can't wait to see these leftist universities folding like cheap tents.

Several teachers told me that I wasn't going to amount to anything. I tried the college thing and dropped out after the first semester. I went to a trade school and then the USMC. I got out after dessert storm and went to work for a company. After a year of that I realized that following the punch a timecard 5 days a week routine was going to earn me exactly what those teachers said. So I quit and went to work for myself. I've been making exceedingly more than a teacher ever since.
I've found that the people that make statements like above are teachers or married to one. And yeah, everyone THINKS that they are worth more than they are.
OMG!! 165 days? Fucking slaves!! I don't know how they do it. 8 to 3, a lunch break and hang out in the teacher's lounge to grade papers. Without teacher's assistants I don't know how they make it through the day.
I offered a couple teachers that said they needed extra money a summertime job. No experience needed. Just manual labor and following directions. Seriously, anyone can learn to put ductwork together and insulate it in a day. When they found out that they would be in a crawl space or attic none really needed the extra money. They were looking for a job tasting pies at a pie factory.
8-3 my ass.

They get paid for the days they work was the point of bringing up contract length. And they get paid by the day not the hour and many work 7 until 4 or 5 then go shaparone dances go to games coach after school activities or grade papers for hours after that. Grade papers on their 30 minute lunch break. 🤣🤣🤣 if they wanna not getting far though.

Lots of lazy people don't want an extra job, not just teachers. Or maybe they just didn't want to work for you since you seem to have it for them.

Teachers assistants. 🤣🤣🤣

You have no idea what the fuck you are talking about. I am neither a teacher nor married to one.

so how are you connected to the union?
I live in area where there is zero access to any kind of teachers union. I.E. like I said once already for you dipshits that can't read. There are lots of places with no teachers union. There are many diffrent teachers unions. It not one run by one person represting all the teachers. It's almost funny but mostly sad to watch people try to sling shit at something know nothing about.

These exist in several forms already. Usually not set up for profit though. Like the the speak easy days, you have to know people.

I don't know how it is now but a decent act or sat score used to get homeschool kids into college.

Home schooling I wouldn't consider universally good though. I just lost a 3 and 5 year old in the same family who are going to home school after moving to a more rural area than here. They are both very smart boys who are still diapers at 3 and 5.

I am not confident parents who can't potty train can effectively teach their kids much. Which brings me back to another thing I have pointed out a couple times.

Schools aren't supposed to raise your kids. If they are turning out shitty, it's likley your own fault.

They do the “not accredited” thing right now. The system is fanatical about protecting itself. Usually women lead the orgs, so it’s mostly drama and feelings with very little logic. I speak as a father in the middle of attempting to give my kids useful tools for life.

How nice. A teacher with a reading disability.
They, teachers, were looking for a summertime job for extra money. I offered what they were asking for but didn't take the offer. You should have ended your statement at " they just didn't want to work"
There's no requirement to be at dances, coach or be part of after school activities. Grading papers, Ohh nooo. You didn't get it done during the planning period or lunch hour and you had to take it home. Boo fucking hoo. It's not an everyday thing.
7 to 4 or 5?? So you don't know when you are going to finish every day? School here starts at 8 and the kids are in line for the bus at 3. By 3:30 the school parking lot is empty save a few cars.
Even in the poor county I live in the teachers have assistants.

I swear a drama course is a requirement to get a teacher's certificate.

Your first line and my last. I have the reading disablity. 🤣🤣🤣

to quote myself.

I went back an actually read your post. Ya fucking retarded. No that's not how it works. No teachers don't walk in with kids at 8. No teacher don't always know when their day will end. It depends on how long it takes them to finish their work, but also depends on if they have to run or be at after school activities.

YOU SIR, have no idea what you are talking about. As a teacher, YOU ARE required to do duty before and after work, YOU ARE required to be at dances, YOU ARE required to work football games, not the coaches THE TEACHERS, to take up money, to monitor activities of spectators (YES they are unruly, disrespectful and at times so demonstrate such bad behavior, OUR Parish Sheriff had to intervene. And as far as working before and after school, weekends and practically every fucking spare moment we could find. And At my first school, I was required to Break UP Fights. Lunch time, forget it, I had to make sure the little darlings that people like you send to school, don’t kill each other.

The highlight of my entire career shooting IHMSA, was tying Philip Braud in the regional championships for the championship. Did I make the shootoff’s. Fucking NO! I had to write IEP’s so I had to leave to get that DOE required paperwork done.

YOU SIR should not comment on things you do not have a clue!

perhaps you should try reading yourself and answer honestly, "how are you connected to the union? " It's obvious

As a teacher, YOU ARE property of the state

Not sure if it works this way everywhere but my sister is a retired teacher and they worked based on annual contracts. Sure you're only in class 3/4-2/3 of the year but if AnyTHiNg happens that requires a physical presence you are basically on call 365 days a year.
