As someone who lives "on their own," primarily, I have to think about this more than others might. But with a twist.
I might not want it "totally clean." I might want to leave juuuuuuuust enough very mild "adult" material to confirm my "orientation" in the eyes of those who take care of things for me after I'm gone, and who might not be "certain" of my orientation, beforehand. Nothing XXX or "hard core" of course (no "devices," etc., which I don't own/use anyway)... but maybe some "MPT level" pics or something like that to offer evidence of what my "preferences" were. And sorry
@Dirty D ... none of yours...

I'll definitely have to go through my DVD collection to ensure there's nothing from a previous life I'd not want "discovered."
I remember visiting an Aunt/Uncle for the summer once as a kid of 10 or so. At the time they were in their early 40's, I guess. One of them asked me to go get something from their bedroom dresser for them but weren't clear in re: which dresser drawer to look. And, of course, I'd stumble across the "wrong" drawer in the night stand. Not sure whose nightstand it was. But I saw a few old time"XXX" adult hard core magazines with extremely graphic pics (sort of like what you might see in a XXX hard core movie of the time). I never mentioned my discovery to either of them. I trust whichever of my Aunt/Uncle "owned" the magazines either got rid of them or made arrangements to have them eradicated/destroyed before they both left this world (or lost control of that bedroom space).
If I leave nothing (i.e. totally clean), that might be even more "sus" than leaving just enough to offer evidence of my preferences. A few MPT level pics oughta do it. Or some mild DVDs. Anything above that level (from my younger, feistier days) is on an encrypted external USB drive (isn't technology wonderful

) and I need only DOD wipe it when my time is drawing near. If I go before I can do that, at least it's encrypted so it'll be harder for them. But I'll probably DOD wipe it long before that.
