Nukes are another story.

Yeah, they definitely trust the enlisted folks with rifles… which was not generally how it was when I was in the Air Force.

I carried a shotgun and a pistol. Granted, I was stationed at the Pentagon and had to drive through Southeast DC in the 1980s.

I ran from s.e DC crossed the river on Pennsylvania Ave to the inner city expressway to Arlington where i worked looking for a merge from the on ramp while airborne. 13 miles, 8 minutes flat on a rocket 3.

I was a contractor that frequently went to USCG HQ by the old power station 20 years ago. When we came in, our contact there usually asked what vehicles were parked on the corners near a couple of blocks from HQ.
Turns out they were keeping tabs on the drug dealers by crowd sourcing their movements They knew them by name and would give us rundowns on their inventory.
They also suggested we use a different route in some circumstances.

Guess who won’t be spurring anyone again. Sleepy Time, shithead.
Had a rooster who would only let my kids in the run with our hens. Always went after me and my wife (didn’t bother me, but the wife refused to do chores). That was fine, because our coop is very close to the woods/creek, and I wanted an aggressive rooster in case a mink or anything else wandered too close with eyes on our hens.

Then one day he went after my youngest daughter while she was playing with the ducks/hens. I figure she must have been getting old enough he finally saw her as a threat to the hens. No injury, but my little animal-lover of a girl was afraid to go back in the run.

About 20 minutes later he was no longer occupying the coop, the dog had a snack, and I had Amazon’d some solar security lights around the coop/run instead…
No more roosters for us.

Trying to convince my BIL (Carpenter/Welder) to buy and start a Honda Goldwing Bobber project…

I like oddball bikes. Found him a local Goldwing with minor body damage and needs carb work for $750. He’s wanted a Bobber project for years, but is holding steady for the right deal on a parallel twin.
