What they teach them is how A/C works…sometimes. Construction is below them. You are lucky if someone bothered to actually use an HVAC program to calculate the proper distribution diagram. They all “know better” so it’s not necessary…

The good ones are well worth their cost.

Plumbers are a close second to what I have seen HVAC guys do. Third place goes to the shitty carpenters. And a lot of the shitty architects that can't do a plan for either of those trades

Wife wanted quartz counter tops. New top and sink moved the garbage disposal enough the plumbing had to be reworked. I didn’t have time and I’m not a plumber so I called one.

Next morning wife calls and says $850. WHAT? Pay him for the callout and show him the door. Dude calls me and says he’s willing to comeback later and explain.

“Repipe everything, longer line to the dishwasher, blah, blah, blah.” Nope. Thanks for stopping by. One trip to Lowes and about an hour later, no leaks. Returned excess parts for refund. Wife later tells me the guy told her he wasn’t sure he could even do it.

Next day I get a text asking for a google review. Happy to.
