Have nrl22 nationals coming up in May.

Are there any places that are more friendly about firearms?

Or are there places that definitely don’t allow them at the hotel?

    Thanks

I am not too sure but there are about 13 country concerts during that month in vegas.

Seriously I don't think there will be to many gun friendly hotels after the mass shooting there.

I’ve been to the Venitian (sp), Luxor, and MGM Grand.

All three were cool about firearms at check-in.

The Palatso (sp) is also cool.

None of them were an issue.

I brought a TRG-42, AR-10, and Beretta O/U... multiple suppressors... no one batted an eye lash.

I live in Vegas and shoot at Desert Sportsman’s all the time. The Red Rock hotel/casino is the closest to the range (less than 5 minute drive) and is pretty nice. Not sure about gun friendly. The JW Marriott is also close and is a really nice resort. I’d call those two and ask for a manager and find out.

My thoughts exactly... How does ones hotel know if one has guns in the room?

A fiend of mine had the strategy of putting a bunch of rock band stickers on his pelican case for the rifle. Totally different public response than having a bunch of tacti-cool stickers. Sounded like a good idea and I followed suit; the are of hiding in plain sight.

Exactly why I never put tactical stickers on anything I take in public. They are all on my reloading room door ??.

I know it was a joke, but it might be a little soon for that.

Yep you are correct but the investigators made a joke of the investigation because I aint buying there was no "motive", just a guy shown to have hard and liquid assets upset about losing money gambling snapping.

FWIW, I don’t need to be explaining to my employer why I took weapons somewhere I know are not allowed by a hotel’s policy. Or why I didn’t check said policy if I plead stupidity.

Thanks for all the reply’s, honestly.

As much as I don't like it, leaving in the trunk in a well lit and monitored area is the best lately. I have been challenged on a big pelican (not a rifle case) and a friend had a hard case for golf clubs (full of guns) inspected. There are signs up everywhere now. Not sure if you can get in legal trouble, but they can sure kick you out and keep the money.

I haven't been in awhile but from what I hear the casino's are apeshit crazy after that idiot shot up the concert. I'd stay off strip in a regular hotel and avoid anything with a casino attached to it. Or would generally test your luck on a gambling site to avoid going to a land-based establishment.
You're absolutely right. Places like casinos always attract a lot of crazy people.

    Call the Trump hotel.
Some people who I know attended SHOT and had no problems.

There is also a Holiday Inn Express on the other side of the highway called stadium area.
I would imagine that you wouldn’t have too many problems in a place like that and it’s brand new.
It’s only about a mile from the Silverton, but the Silverton has a casino so I don’t know how they are.
