Is it feasable to bring something like a Lee hand press with me, some dies and reset depth at the range?
I load pretty long and im not compressed. So would it be worth the effort to say knock a couple tho off, shoot and repeat? Is the Lee hand press "good enough" to accuratly produce ammo? Granted i would bring my comparator, but if the press is wonky is it even worth the effort.

Thanks!

With a comparator, I don't see how you won't be able to achieve a consistent seating depth (not including manufacturing defect). Lots of people bring the Lee hand press to the range to fine tune seating depth. It'll save you time and components versus loading multiple sets at various COAL at home and wind up with some left over rounds that are seated deeper than optimal.

have seen fokes doing it that way so they can make adjustments on the fly but that person has a elaborate mobile reloading station in his van . You can do it . good luck and post pics of your set up .

As others have already stated regarding an arbor press and L.E. Wilson die setup ...here's mine from a few days ago. Have fun.

I want to thank everyone for chiming in. Before you answer my next question please keep in mind..
1 Im shooting stock rifles, only @ 100 and 200Y. No aftermarket barells, triggers, ect.
2 Im broke. :)

I have micrometer seating dies already, granted not the quality of a Wilson. For 50 bucks the Lee press gives me the ability to shorten the rounds at the range.
The arbor press and Wilson dies are a big jump in the dollars and cents department. Considering my rifles, and distance I shoot are the nessacary?

Thanks!

No. I have several lee hand presses. They may wobble a lot but they produce concentric ammo.
