Several years ago I ended up with my nephew's Wii console. I found a version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for it and proceeded to get frustrated as hell. Trying to play shooter games with the Wii controller and nunchuk is an exercise in futility. I started thinking there has to be a better way to do this.
Introducing the M4A1 SOPMOD Wii controller

I felt it would look better with a suppressor, so scrap PVC to the rescue. Then a little desert sand paint and now I can use the rifle as my controller. I had to reassign a few buttons through the game settings feature to make everything flow. Fun part is that I shoot in the game by pulling the airsoft trigger! Joystick on the pistol grip let's me walk, moving muzzle let's me look. I retained the airsoft rifles features such as pulling the charging handle and removable magazine for added realism. Not to mention the adjustable buttstock.

Finally received some parts from the PRC and found a little time early this morning before the family woke up...

I decided to upgrade the suppressor to an airsoft KAC 5.56QDSS-NT4. It is scary how close to the real deal they make this stuff!

Removed the plastic A2 birdcage and threaded for M14 x 1.0 LH

Just some thoughts as I don’t understand the various controls:
Old thermostats have 2 mercury switches for adding tilt sensors, security parts companies such as System Sensor have any number of magnetic proximity and push button reed switches which could be used for Mag changes, etc.
Fool-proof it and sell ‘em!

That's friggin' awesome! Do you zero the optic so it matches the on screen cross hairs?

My son (me, actually, who the hell am I kidding) would love this!

Something like this for Xbox or Play Station consoles would probably sell easily.
