    I might be saying it wrong but I called power custom....very friendly/helful by the way. This old rail is Weaver.....my Seeking rings are picatinny. Guess my only choice is to have the rail slots opened up a bit. I'm not going away from this rail, I like the way it ties the action/barrel...

    No idea if it would help and it certainly won't help on short notice but has your bolt been radiussed? Not much cold weather experience but reduced weight may make the reciprocating mass a little more positive when you are shooting near the edge of reliability-Norcal911
