Did I just ruin my brass? Put it in the oven...

Re: Did I just ruin my brass? Put it in the oven... An update for everyone, I used all the brass and it worked just fine, no problems whatsoever. The only thing was that it was a bit harder to get the primers in than ususal. Shot just fine great groups too. Must have just been stained.

Finally found a good load for my .223

Re: Finally found a good load for my .223 Every 30-40 seconds for the 5 shot string, then I'd let it cool completely before the next group.

Finally found a good load for my .223

.223 Rem, 1:12 twist.. As the target says, 23.5gr H322 with a 52gr SMK seated .005" jammed. Rem Brass and cci Br4 primers. I'm fairly satisfied, as this is a factory 700. Only mod is that I put a HS stock from a 700P on it. Would you guys be satisfied with this? Perhaps playing with seating...

Anyone reloading the GA Percisin 308 crusader

Re: Anyone reloading the GA Percisin 308 crusader Hey there, I had mine and thats what I used... the old brass from FGMM.. I had my best groups by far, fairly consistent anywhere from .2x-.3x MOA, with 44gr Varget and 165 Gamekings (not the lead tip, the other ones) IIRC I seated them to...

Did I just ruin my brass? Put it in the oven...

Re: Did I just ruin my brass? Put it in the oven... Seems that the general consensus is that the temp wasnt high enough for long enough. What I'll most likely do is take just one piece with me and shoot it and see how it works. If it's ok then I'll load up the rest. The brass is a...

Did I just ruin my brass? Put it in the oven...

So this is my second time using the Stainless tumbling method.. the first time I put it in the oven to dry it and the brass came out shiny and dry. This time I put it in the oven at 290F for an hour, and the brass came out pretty dark and tarnished looking. Each piece of brass also has that...

    My 99% complete reloading room!

Re: My almost complete reloading room! Thats fantastic. I've lately been trying to get a cabinet/countertop setup like that. Those premade countertops are like $45 at home depot for a 6-8 foot long piece. The expensive part is the actual cabinets that sit the floor but you can get the...

Rifle Scopes Same scopes &rifles, but one cant zero at 300

Re: Same scopes &rifles, but one cant zero at 300 We both have flat bases... I'll check the overall travel. I would understand if mine was ALMOST topping out at 300 but I still have a ways to go. He doesnt even come close to a 300yrd zero. I'll have to investigate further. The height above...

Rifle Scopes Same scopes &rifles, but one cant zero at 300

My friend and I both have Rem 700's in .223 Both have bushnell elite 4200 6-24 scopes on them. The only difference is that his is a 700p and mine is a VLS. Mine is able to zero at 300 and still has plenty of room to go. His scope maxes out and still is 2 feet low at 300. Same load for both...
