    Most reliable actions

Re: Most reliable actions British Enfields - for peak performance in mud To answer your question based on your list, the M70-FN would in my opinion be the most reliable. It is a good, simple, well designed action with a simple trigger system and ejector/extractor system. I wish someone...

    1903 springfields!

Re: 1903 springfields! It is cool that you guys shoot the rapid sitting stage. I have never been to a Garand/Vintage bolt match where they shoot that stage. Too bad Coeur d' Alene is so far away.

    BRASS Norma vs. lapua

Re: BRASS Norma vs. lapua I have not used any Norma brass in a while, but friends tell me it does not last nearly as long as Lapua. The old Norma brass I found years ago, which was probably 25 years old back then, was pretty good stuff. It is bloody expensive though.

    fired brass analysis/primers backing out

Re: fired brass analysis/primers backing out Primer back out is a common symptom of low pressure loads. The velocity sounds lower than expected to me. I have seen rings on the brass like that in some factory rifles and would suspect a rough chamber.

Hunting & Fishing Hunting cartridge question for Rem LA

Re: Hunting cartridge question for Rem LA Get some Winchester '06 ammo with the 125gr. PSP and see what happens. It will do everything you have mentioned. There are a lot of 150gr. factory loads out there.

What scope are you using on your 22 stick?

Re: What scope are you using on your 22 stick? On the 1. Sako Quad - Leupold 4-12x w/dot (for squirrels and CMP) 2. APA Quad trainer - USO 3.2-17 ERGO 3. CZ Trainer - Nothing! The best training iron sights on a .22LR, just like the Finn M39.
