    Determining best Neck Tension

Similar here. For a very long time (too long) I avoided messing with inside neck lube like the plague. Same with brushing case necks Too messy, too slow, yada yada. The thing is... they work. The condition of the neck ID has a lot more effect on consistency of seating than neck tension...

    Question on stall mats

Sounds like you need a bag with bunny ears, not rabbit ears. Seriously, that is a thing.

And you guys wonder why he posted that over on AS, and not on here  :ROFLMAO:

    Donuts

The 6.5CM was specifically designed to address some of the... shortcomings... of the .260 Rem. Before the .260 Rem was the 6.5-08 (my first XTC match rifle, and no, I'm not a Boomer) which really was meant (in my mind) for pre '64 Mod 70s i.e. long action. In a R700SA, it still worked, but for...

    Donuts

One of the classic tests is to take a fired case, a new bullet, and drop it in the case neck. If it hits/stops at the case neck/shoulder junction, you have a donut (and a bad one). Lesser versions could probably be found using pin gauges of the appropriate size i.e. just slightly smaller than...

He's been at that for a while. Pretty much if the video goes much past 15 minutes, you can just plan on skipping the rest because it's going to be more of that.

Maybe it's just parallax / camera angle, but it sure looked to me like his fancy $$$$$ scale was out of level 😉

Same here. And while I get his distaste for "yet another app", I don't understand his repeated emphasis on having to keep the cell phone right there and *on*. At least on mine... once you send the setting to the trickle, the phone can pretty much fuck off. Mine goes into screensaver mode after...

Rotating shift work - Good, bad, & ugly

One thing you will find very quickly on any kind of shift work is what your body prefers. Long ago and far away, I spent a bit of time in the shipyard while I was in the Navy. For whatever reason, I ended up on swing shift. Of course, it being the Navy and me being not qualified yet, it...

    Blister packs?

https://clamtainer.com/ I know a lot of F-class shooters that use these for shipping ammo for big matches - both the stuff you can fly with (~11 lbs, not nearly enough for a match) and the stuff they have to ship ahead.

Rotating shift work - Good, bad, & ugly

We work a modified Dupont schedule here... four 12 hr nights (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday), three days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), a short turn-around and three nights (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), four days (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), then four 8 hrs days the next week...

    Wilson single stage press?

So... swung by Wilson on the way home, after sitting thru 1st Aid / CPR training, after a 12 hr night shift. Ugh. Seems like a nice little press; sounds like they've been working on it for a little while (year or so), waiting on machine time to be able to bring it to market since pretty much...

    Wilson single stage press?

...having said that, I guess it makes a certain amount of sense, at least from Wilson's perspective. One, I'd imagine there are probably a lot of people who have presses that *can* take the bigger dies... but I bet 99.9% of the dies sold are still 7/8-14 tpi, and two, I don't think Wilson makes...

    Wilson single stage press?

Looks like they're targeting the Lenzi / Prazi presses... but it seems weird that they went 7/8-14 only?

Given all the (correct) answers that have been given above, why would he want/need to borescope his reloading die?

    Question on stall mats

PSA, as in 'pressure sensitive adhesive'. ie sticky back sandpaper, stuck *to* the bottom of the chunks of mat. You can order it in sheets or rolls. Or if you want it to be all tacticool (black) you could use non-skid stair tread tape.

PLASTIC RELOADING TRAYS WITH DRAIN HOLES

I just got the red universal MTM trays, and used a hand drill to poke a hole in the bottoms, back when I was wet tumbling on the regular and before 3D printing was all that common. Yeah, it might look a little less than perfect - not every hole was perfectly centered - but enough nasty crap...

    Coup de Grace Builders

I dealt with some of the same 'stuff' for a long time with shooting Savage 12 FTRs - very few 'smiths work with them enough to be comfortable staking their reputation on it. Doesn't necessarily mean the gun isn't capable, but you may have fun finding someone to work on them. Similarly, F-class...

.308 Federal GMM 168 grain Load

Because historically it works so well in so many guns. Sure, individual loads may perform better in individual guns, but sometimes it's handy to have a known-good go-to load that "just works".
