Disregard, I just saw the “as long as it’s 500 bullets” on the mix/match option.

    Gunsmithing Cerakote tip?

My best tip for applying cerakote is to look into KG Coatings

    AR10 Charging handle recommendation??

I’m set in my ways, I still run the old Badger latches on all my AR’s-big and small.

    Be a rooftop Korean!

Jeez, y’all too young to remember this stuff in real time?

    Fixed power scopes

Fixed won’t give much optical advantage over a variable set to same power. As with anything, define the job then pick the tool. The only time a fixed has served me really well was shooting silhouette where a weight limit restricted scope selection. Now my only reason to go fixed is if a FFP...

Range Report choosing a bullet for 6.5 CM

Shooting support side from compromised position on the clock, you won’t be able to tell the difference:ROFLMAO: Go with whatever gives you confidence, and cheats wind/DA changes the best at the ranges you’ll encounter most.

Does es and sd really matter?

Steel’s fun, paper’s an evil bitch that isn’t there to stoke your ego-but never lies.

Does es and sd really matter?

I believe the bullet. On paper, preferably 100 for zero, 200, 300, 500, 600 for actual DOPE with solid DA info to dial in ballistic guesstimator. I’ve had loads that were pretty ugly across an Oehler that were solid half moa shooters. That said, in the absence of ability to check paper at...

Kestrel use during a match - Enter specific ranges or go with a general range card?

For no time scenarios: I have a “luggage tag” range card holder on my rifle, and inside have data cards for -1500 to 12500 DA. I watch DA on my kestrel and make sure the right data card is visible.

This is a special lot of SK Standard Plus. 4 at 100 yards from a Vudoo V22 in a Manners T4A.

When I shot rimfire silhouette, SK Standard Plus served me well out of an Annie 1712. Groups like those posted above weren’t unusual. 22’s can be bitchy to fine what your barrel likes, so I like to get sample boxes from places like Champion’s, then order a bunch from same lot once a favorite is...

    Fieldcraft Packs/bags 101

I do run an ALPS Commander frame pack hunting, but the main pack carries crap into camp, comes off frame and frame is used for hauling meat-Spec Ops pack is still my going in the field pack.

    Fieldcraft Packs/bags 101

I shot matches for many years with a spec ops THE pack. MOLLE’d on a couple mag pouches, my LRF, and kestrel. Ammo in bottom outside pocket; tools, etc in top outside pocket. Shemagh, couple bags and snacks/h2o and room for layering clothes in main compartment. Worked great.

    7mm08 Rem or 6,5 Creedmoor

80kg is easy peasy for a 65CM at the ranges you’re referring to. I’m in the same boat, have a hunting build I’m putting together-but it’s a Savage so my plan is to run the current 65 sporter barrel for mule deer/antelope/coues deer size game on down, and procure a 7-08 barrel for elk. The higher...

Range Report 10 Shot Load Development Results - 6.5 Creedmoor

Not Frost, but .004” shoulder bump is excessive, and will trash your brass in short order (you’ll learn to use a bent paper clip to scrape the inside of your brass above the web to feelfor impending case head separations long before your brass should be shot out). I shoot for .001-.002” bump...
