    To the op I am left-handed and own both also you will not regret the purchase of either one I'm curious to why you want to machine Flats in the barrel verses using savage barrel nut. The mausingfield is designed off of the Mauser and Springfield action so reliability will not be an issue also...

    No sir I've actually never had this issue with any other scope not even back when I ran the old Mark 4 moons ago the scope does have the 85 total MOA of travel but it takes 53 of them to get it zeroed at a 100 yds I did call them and ask him if I had missed something or done something wrong...
