    Re: what oal length for 700 5r 308? My best load came in at 2.810 (2.232 ogive to base) using 175 SMK and 43.5 Varget. All loads I tested grouped better at .010 over. Your rifle may like them a little longer... or not. You never said what bullet and powder you were shooting.
