Gunsmithing Canted trigger in 700 action...

? with the action screws in the alignment with the trigger looks good. Seems the recoil lug is turned as others have stated, if thats the case its an easy fix. Action wrench, barrel vise and a lug alignment tool.

Gunsmithing I need to add weight to hollow butt-stock

Re: I need to add weight to hollow butt-stock I don't recommend the shot, very easy to get some that will not get foamed/epoxied and rattle around on you......very annoying.

Re: WHO HAS A G0709 14 X 40 Gunsmith's Gearhead Lathe Papagrizzly while you are sharing the differences between your machines and other brands could you explain why your 12x36 gunsmith lathe only has a max rpm of 1400? When compared to the PM1236 which appears to be identical it has something...

    Gunsmithing Pierce action ejection issue

Re: Pierce action ejection issue McFred, Just took another look at it and I think you nailed it. If I cycle the bolt slower it will toss the round, I would imagine the only fix for this would be a stronger spring in the ejector? thanks.

    Gunsmithing Pierce action ejection issue

Hi, finally got out to try my new build and had one issue. It is a rem 700 clone from pierce with a shilen chambered for .308 win. my problem is that it doesn't seem to release a loaded round. The rifle feeds beautifully, no issues with extraction and it will eject a fired round no problem but...

Gunsmithing .308 2011 fullbore or Bisley reamer?

Re: .308 2011 fullbore or Bisley reamer? Hi Chad thanks for the advice. I already have the 1:10 twist sitting in a drawer and believe me I would have one of your builds in a heartbeat but I'm in Canada and paperwork is a bitch. Thats also why I bought the shilen, it was in stock and on sale...

Gunsmithing .308 2011 fullbore or Bisley reamer?

Hi, Looking for advice on reamer selection, I'm planning on building a rifle on a stiller tac30 with a 26" 1:10" twist shilen. I'd like to primarily shoot the 155.5 bergers and would be using lapua brass but I also might load up some 165gr accubonds for deer. I would also like these to feed from...

    Gunsmithing Straight fluting bolts

Re: Straight fluting bolts yep, I will never own another fluted bolt. As for debris, with the ratcheting effect on this rifle it sure sounds like you could break apart a large ice dam in the action sandpaper, files, dremel we'll see what gets it fixed, then gunkote.

    Gunsmithing Straight fluting bolts

Is the absolute dumbest thing ever......I have a hart barreled 6BR on a remington 600 action, it was given to me by my father who also has two other 600's with the bolts straight fluted one of them by Hart. All of them ratchet on the follower, he doesn't seem to mind but it drives me absolutely...
