    Thermo-fitting is the better approach. Loctite is a band-aid.

    Lucas Red, and Extreme are good to -38F. Red is the odorless hunting and is meant to be very thinly applied. The Extreme is for Semis. Pressures can drop in the cold and if you "tuned" the system to be on the edge, a T drop will result in issues.

    Yes, that can and will create a knee given the right conditions. So too will pressures above (or below) normal, in some cases create rapid rises or decreases in the slope of the pressure curve. Doing my best to put a complex issue into more common terms.

    Rifle Scopes 1-8x FFP options

    I ran the XTRII 1-5 (mil reticle) for 2 years and have since changed to the RT6 for my .223 3Gun rifle and the XTRII 1-8 for my DD .308. I really think the 1-5 takes a back seat to either for 3Gun, but in an application where speed on 1x is not desired, why not go to a 2-10? Just a thought.
