Rifle Scopes Won a Burris Optics 50% off certificate....what do you you guys recommend?

I run the 4-20 XTRII, the SCR reticle is what I prefer, but I have some of the older G2B Mil reticles. I think the 4-20 is kind of the sweet spot for practical field matches in the XTRII line. I rarely hit 20x shooting out to 1200 and have not wanted more. I have a 5-25 in the FDE that is...

Sig Kilo 2400 or Vortex Ranger 1800

Bushnell not even close to the Vortex, don't go backwards.

Sig Kilo 2400 or Vortex Ranger 1800

Slimeball stole a Brownells package off my porch. Called FedEx and Brownells. Brownells replaced the 4 stolen items he pocketed after I chased him down and got some of them and had 6 of Arvada's finest chasing him through the fields. Prime FTW.

Sig Kilo 2400 or Vortex Ranger 1800

I think you have to have the Prime Account, which I do. It is like $49/year and then free shipping and some special sales, plus lifetime warranty. And, well, they support the sport too, so there is that. The Kilo2000 is showing discontinued on Brownells, and FWIW, I should have suggested the...

Sig Kilo 2400 or Vortex Ranger 1800

I'd still take a Kilo2000 over a Ranger 1800 for the same money. I figure in 5 years, there will be something better anyway.

Sig Kilo 2400 or Vortex Ranger 1800

Always SIG. The Kilo2000 is better than the Ranger 1800, so climbing the SIG ladder, you are gaining features over the Kilo2000, all of which smoke the Vortex.

    Questions about rifle for wife

My wife did not like to shoot at all until our boys started shooting, now she has 5 of her own guns (2 Revos, .22Pistol, .22 Rifle and a 9mm PCC) and has shot several matches. She has shown a slight interest in the Precision game since it is not as fast as 3Gun and USPSA. We got my 13 year old...

LC Brass - how important is it to sort it by year?

I weigh them and if they are close I don't separate. The last batch I processed (1K) I sorted into 4 groups and for the most part, that was by date. I load 5 cases of each after processing and check them in the bolt gun to be sure before I load a batch and it has been fine so far doing it that...

    Suppressors .224 Valkyrie Suppressor- Issues?

I do know the bore diameter is the same, but I have seen some concerns with some cans because of the higher pressures. Seems unfounded since it is really only slightly higher volume, but before I attach one, I am going to get the spec to the mfr. and see what they say before putting rounds...

    Suppressors .224 Valkyrie Suppressor- Issues?

Don't know, but I want to suppress an 18" 224V at some point.

    PRS Talk Rebarreling production rifle

The purpose of the Production Division is to provide new shooters an opportunity to experience a PRS competition without being intimidated by highly customized rifles and the highly skilled shooters that shoot them. This division is meant to give a newcomer to the PRS a chance to test his/her...

My Labradar reads the wind now

It was your comments on the various Chronos that made me choose the MS over the LR. Maybe I take your advice better than you do your own. :) Still a great photo.

    Bergara HMR Pro

Dealers that are taking pre-orders are giving prices in the $1500s. I have not seen any below $1500 and saw one at $1610. I'd expect it to stabilize at around $1480ish once the demand wanes. They are still saying shipping end of February for the first pallets of them. The .450Bushmaster is...

    UPS Store Policies

Machine parts, or Optical instruments. I take a photo with the box and part, then wrapped up in the box. Buy insurance at the rate you want. If it is all written out what shipping method, etc, they won't hassle her at all. They profile too thankfully. :)

    UPS Store Policies

We use a UPS store for our business mailbox. I ship and receive NUMEROUS (all non-FFL) gun parts and optics and they are fine with it. They winced a little bit when my annual Powder Valley order arrived. I have gone to USPS registered mail for long guns. Just easier with cheaper insurance...

    Bergara HMR Pro

Pricing is out now and some shops are taking pre-orders. Just depends on who your LGS is set up with as far as distributors.

My new setup. Now some advice. Please.

Only thing I have to add...I don't like presses on the sides of benches due to flex.

Rifle Scopes Burris RT6 vs Leupold VXR Patrol 1.25-4x20mm - Thoughts?

You must of compared it to something else entirely. The RT6 has only been available for 10 months so it was not even out when you bought your VXR many years ago. :)

Rifle Scopes Burris RT6 vs Leupold VXR Patrol 1.25-4x20mm - Thoughts?

The RT6 punches way above its price point. At $350, consider to to be on sale from $600. :) The VXR patrol is decent, and if you don't ever plan on hosing or shooting fast on multiple targets, might be a good choice. The 1x at the bottom is imperative for me. Even at $100 for the VXR, I'd...
