    varmint load

most of those powders better suited to heavier heads in .223 . in my .223 ive had great results with 25.5g benchmark, 25g viht n133 or again h335. I like cci primers lapua or hornady brass with an oal 2245-50.

    Hornady .308 Match brass

found the hornady brass a lot lighter dropped from a .337 redding bush with lapua to a .334 when sizing, when using varget i had to up the charge .5g to get the same results. needs to be fully resized every 2 loads .

lapua 308 case capacity vs hornady

Re: lapua 308 case capacity vs hornady i went the other way lapua to hornady brass going from 44g varget to 44.8g with the 175 s and when neck sizing had to go from a .337 .335 bushing- so the reverse should apply

New rifle and rounds are tight for chamber?? HELP!

Re: New rifle and rounds are tight for chamber?? HELP! sounds like a bolt prob (i assume you got the correct bolt for your rifle- yes it has happened), slightly machining error, i once saw a rem 700 with a burr or the bolt face would not chamber at all, took it off chambered perfectly- as...

Anyone had picky loads with Suppressors?

Re: Anyone had picky loads with Suppressors? all my hunting rifles are suppressed and all have a lower P O A with them fitted due to the reduced mussel flip, what i did find was that factory threading jobs on both barrel and supressor was poor, on one rem 700 i couldnt get a decent group with...

how much does it cost to hand load properly?

Re: how much does it cost to hand load properly? buy the best you can afford, years ago ibought a cheap starter kit and inside 2 months had replaced everything with comp spec gear, the only advantage or cheap gear is that if you dont keep reloading at least your not out a fortune. ive lost...

    Anyone use varmint grenades?

Re: Anyone use varmint grenades? shooting times in the uk did a comprhensive test using the grenades, v maxs , noslers and the blitzkings, shooting into balistic gels , believe it or not the bullet that expanded least was the varmint grenade though it did penetrate furthur. the v maxes...

    Bushing Question-Redding Die

Re: Bushing Question-Redding Die redding recomend 0.001.001, 002 is enough for a bolt action. for target shooting with lapua i use the .337 bush, in the field .336 to be sure, i used to use the hornady match cases at .335, which is a low ive ever gone with a bolt gun. if you want consistancy...

    primer seating quetsion

Re: primer seating quetsion a friend came to me with a similar problem with hornady brass, the primer pockets were not factory cut deep enough, when ypu tried to prime them on the press they would not seat deeply enough catching on the shell holder. when you entered the sinclair primer pocket...

    Vaget lot numbers ?

Re: Vaget lot numbers ? should be safe unless your shooting hot loads at the top of the load range, that being the case you would be looking out for pressure signs anyway. i use varget for heavy .223 and .308 and see very little diference fom drum to drum certainly there would be no needto...
