    I use Frog Lube on all my handguns and my AR. I live in Ohio its been below zero the past few days and I've left a handgun in my truck for a lengthy time and no issues, i even shot in the freezing temps and no issues and in the summer it great too. it the only lube i will use for my carry guns.

    im not ruling out anyother calabers i carry a shield now i want to get a 1911 for awhile know it will be used for range and carry im a big guy too and in the winter i usally carry with a shoulder holster so weight isnt a huge concern.

    i carry in a Comp-Tac MTAC IWB holster and never had and issue and you can adjust the angle and depth that it sits in your pants.

    The shield would be my choice i love mine carry it every day it recoils like a .22 and very similar to the M&P 9c just slimmer so its a bit easier to conceal. i had a Kahr CW9 and it sucked it jammed like every third round.

    Re: Sig or M&P i have the sig 229 DAK in .40 and its one of the best firearms I've ever owned, the recoil is great, and the weight is good i carry it every as my ccw gun.
