Sierra match king over Varget. 25.3 grs. gave me an average velocity for five shots @2748 fps out of the 16" WOA barrel. The manual data says 25.3 grs. @ 2750 out of a 20" Colt H-Bar barrel.     Rifle Scopes Leveling a scope on a Savage..Reference spot for level??

    If you naturally hold the rifle level, then I think you should get into shooting position and look through your scope at a plumb bob string and match your reticle to the string. Done. Now every time you get into your natural shooting position your retical will be perfectly level.

    Can a Savage Model 10 with a blind mag be converted to a detachable box mag. Is there a bottom metal kit? If so, are they stock specific. I own some bolt guns but they are stricly sporters for hunting and never researched customizing them. Thanks
