    I am hoping to go out today with 20 rounds of reloads just to see how its doing. My first reloads did .5" 5 shot group at 100yds with an ES of 18 and I have yet to play with seating depth. Fingers crossed...

    RCBS Chargemaster Lite vs Hornady Auto Charge?

    My Chargemaster lite gave me fits with staying zeroed and over throwing after I tried different techniques. I would pay the extra for the larger charge master. You can do the straw modification with it, on the lite model you can't. The dispenser tube is too large.

    Not sure what you mean by slick but the floors are scrubbed weekly with a wet brush vacuum unit made by Tennant, I would say the floors have really good traction. If you are wondering about bipod slip, the atlas rubber feet grab is like glue. I can push up on the gun and no slide...

    Gun is back and the barrel is thicker for sure, but nothing crazy. Installed the AI competition trigger while I was at it. Hopefully will have some groups this weekend...

    Another Update: Just received an email this morning that the new heavy barrel was installed and test fired. They said it is now shooting well under 1 MOA, looks like it will be back at my place in a few days.

    What is a good SD ?

    I have chosen to look at ES. On my 6.5creed, when my ES is around 20, SD tends to be around 6 to 9... all rounds hit at 1,400yds on a 100% IPSC. Sometimes wind might push one a hair left or right.

    It's good to hear I'm not the only one with similar results. My friend bought one of the discounted 20" barrel AI 338's from euro optic and he is getting 1/2"-3/4" groups at 200yds and he sent pics to me this weekend. Only other calibers he has shot is a 6mmx47 and various 5.56/223 AR rifles

    I appreciate all the guys offering to help me out. I spoke with AI today and they want the gun back to take a look. It could possibly be action tolerances as well... They agree it should not be shooting 1" or larger, especially with the same quality test ammo they use. I will keep you all up...

    My vote would go to GAP or JP, and I'm a larue predatobr owner. It's a great gun but I don't think it is the best. If I wanted to strip the scope and suppressor off, it would make for a cool .308 carbine in a pinch though...

    I think I will just be calling AI tomorrow and talking with them. I think everything has been exhausted and I hate to keep throwing $7 factory loads down range trying to chase something that might be past the point of no return.
