    Anyone here hang a suppressor off a 26" Proof stainless?

    Got a save 112 VLP chambered in .30-06. The suppressor makes this already heavy rifle (11lbs empty), soft recoiling rifle feel like an airgun. Shot it at an F-class match and the suppressor just made the 3x20 shot strings feel like a dream...didn’t even once think if recoil while sending 185gr...

    Shot them at 600 and 1,000yd matches outta my AR-10 and M1A. 185berger Juggernaut 44.2gr to 45gr Varget Winchester case Win LRP 2.82” COAL I understand this was also the 1,000yd load for the Army marksmanship in their “M110 clones”.

    Well done and excellent write up Denys! Can you explain the dual reticle? Is it refer to the FFP reticle and SFP dot? i do miss shooting at Bayou Rifles. Maybe next year. Would be nice to see you shoot an AR-10 at the 600yd matches instead of your usual FTR rifle.

    ILya, thanks for posting that video. It was very educational and allowed me to see some of the trade offs. However, my question was more in line with 1. Starting with an existing scope tube with 40-42mm objective, SF, etc (NF 2.5-10x42) 2. Changing lenses and internals to accommodate a 1-6...

    No, I don’t have a background in photography. The NXS 1-4 is physically different from the 2.5-10x42 scope...the length of the scope, the objective, lack of side focus, just to name a few physical differences. Again, I appreciate any learnings you are willing to impart.

    ILya, Please elaborate on the technical problems. Start with depth of field and factors affecting it. Yeah, the scope would need to be longer, but this is a geometry/form factor issue (that obviously impacts lens sizes).? What would be preposterous about starting with say same tube as a NF...

    Just like the title says, this garbage needs to stop. When will the likes of Nightforce, Schmidt&Bender, USO, etc figurebit out? LPVOs need bigger objectives above 4x...IMO, anything less than 5mm exit pupil makes the magnification useless for dynamic shooting. Thoughts?

    Thanks 101st. Burris fast fires have been used for waterfowl going on a decade now, and I’ve used a scope for Turkey...the concept is not preposterous, was just wondering if the tubular shape would be difficult to transition into vs an rmr/eotech type. I think the red dot will force better...

    Looking at Timmney's new Tikka T3 trigger, it looks straightforward to convert it to lefty (a couple of e-clips swapped). What about the rifle's safety? will it meed to be modified in some way? What else am I missing?
