    Build Help

This is a pretty common scenario. I would really only recommend sticking with the Rem 700 if you had a tight budget in which you were not comfortable spending a little bit more. For the extra $400, you will get a smoother action with lower tolerances, a bolt handle that is NOT brazed on and is...

    PRS Talk Free Recoil Shooting

For those of you interested in learning what free recoil shooting is, want to get better at it or would like to get another perspective on it, take a look at the below article that I've recently published.

    Barricade bag

I have not, but the Plasti Dip holds up surprisingly well. I have no doubt that it would work in the groove. I typically reapply a little after 3 matches. Sometimes I will flip the bag upside down when there is an angled surface and it won't budge at all.

    Barricade bag

Agreed. The old Gamechanger is the way to go. It's also slightly larger than the newer one. I sprayed Plasti Dip on the top of mine so it's super grippy.

Gunsmithing Recoil sensitive.....Installing compensator, will it compromise accuracy?

I would definitely get your muzzle threaded so you can install a muzzle brake. As long as your muzzle diameter is greater than .600" it can be threaded 5/8 x 24 which is the standard thread pitch for a .308. If you use a very aggressive brake (APA LB, Heathen, Area 419, etc...) you will notice a...

Trued R700 action VS. custom action?

I like the video. I'm assuming you guys still true the receiver threads and lug seats but it just wasn't in the video?

Trued R700 action VS. custom action?

If we were to true an action and then redial it back in, there would likely be a very small amount of runout perceived. Just like a barrel, there is some flex to an action. As long as it's dialed in properly and carefully, it will remain well within specs. For many on of the actions that we've...

Trued R700 action VS. custom action?

If you are looking at getting your action trued by a gunsmith, I'd first ask them what their truing entails. Many gunsmiths don't true the action fully or properly, and unfortunately the only way to check if it has been trued properly is to true it again. There is a lot more to a full blueprint...

Range Report Mk248 Mod 0 specs?

The Mod 1 typically performs better, at least from all the rifles that I've tried it in.

PRS Talk choosing an optic's magnification

A couple of our team shooters switched over to the 7-35x. In PRS, there are rarely scenarios in which the extra magnification would be advantageous, but everyone is liking the parallax on the 7-35x much better than the 5-25x; supposedly it's a bit more forgiving. I run the 5-25x and am 100%...

    185 juggernaut load data

I've used 2000MR with the Juggernauts before and it was too temperature unstable for my liking. It will surely increase your MV, though! For a starting point, I would use Varget and work up from 43.0. Most people find a sweet spot somewhere around 44.0 but I've seen some people shoot it...
