    6mm ARC Load Data

I’m using RCBS SB/TC dies and just lubing and running. You will have to trim a bunch. My reformed cases were 1.512” and I modified a lee 6mm PPC case gauge and trimmer to trim to 1.480”.

    .224 Valkyrie

In my 24”Bbl the 88’s loved a 0.035” jump and 2740 for a velocity. I would assume 2700-2725 will be a sweet spot in your rifle with 0.035”-0.090” jump. The 88’s are more jump tolerant then the 80’s. I don’t think you’d be able to push the 80’s to 2940 where my gun likes them so I’d stick with...

What Triple D said. There is a node with H4895 in 24” Bbl’s around 2925 +\-15fps. It’s better on brass and you can normally reload 2-4 times before the pockets are done. I tried to go higher and primers wouldn’t stay seated (super glue held them for final firing). Also once you are there try...

I see you are using OAL’s. But how far are the bullets jumping. A few of the bullets you list have small jump windows they like and you may benefit from a windowed mag to load longer if you have a long freebore barrel like myself.

    .224 Valkyrie

You’re going to want either H4895 or Varget for most temp stable. If you have a 24” Bbl the 80’s like 2920-2940fps for a node using H4895. This will usually be from 24.4-25.0 grains and 0.035-0.050” jump. The 88’s are more jump tolerant and will jump anywhere from 0.025-0.090” and they liked...

    What brake do y’all recommend?

Muzzle brakes and more, Nathan, has good videos comparing 3, 4, and 5 port breaks. He says up to 50 grains of powder not capacity three ports work great and don’t benefit from four or five ports and the transition from four to five ports is 65-70 grains of powder. I have two of he’s five ports...

    What brake do y’all recommend?

MBM Beast Brake. I have two 5-ports and a 3-port brake they are hands down the best I’ve used. When I rebuild my 7 saum it’ll where a 4-port from Nathan.

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Nitro 4-16×42mm (Parallax Issues)

I’ve got the 3-12x44mm model and my parallax seems to work just fine. But i agree that the turrets suck. Very mushy and when you try to set the turret to zero it it will only go on in increments of two so a lot of times you are either plus or minus one from zero.

Rifle Scopes Older Nightforce NXS 1-4x24mm?

I figured it out. It uses a 1/20” Allen wrench. Reuben

Rifle Scopes Older Nightforce NXS 1-4x24mm?

I have a discontinued model NXS without zero stop but can loosen one Allen screw to make turret go to zero. I was wondering if anyone had this older model and if they knew the size Allen wrench needed to do this? The night force site is down or something so thought I’d ask here. Thanks in advance

Looks like CFE223 is not going to work with the 90 RMR bullets in my barrel. Similar groups compared to the 85.5 Berger’s using it. Got a decent node above 2700fps but the groups wouldn’t hold up even with adjusting CBTO. I tried scrubbing the barrel to see if that was the problem. Got a little...

It is normal for all barrels to speed up once they break in. Looks like you got a good one that gained a bunch of velocity. Only problem is sometimes the accuracy goes south and you have to lower your charge to get back to your node or go up and search for the next one.

I was able to get them to 2858fps (27.6grains) comfortably in my 24” 6.5 twist Bison Armory. Any more then that and the brass was getting beat up. There was a good node in my setup at 27.2-27.4 both averaged 2845fps. The sd’s were a little higher then I like though. High teens.

IHFarmer07 I am having the same problem with these bullets in my AR. I get a good group then try to duplicate it and it’s a no go. I was using CFE223 to no avail and I will try one more time with imr4320 and that will be it for me.

The Oehler is a little more tedious to setup but it won’t move your poi. That way you can look for your speed node with your barrel.

I use a magneto speed as well. It doesn’t affect geoup sizes normally but shifts the point of impact.

24.0 should be about max but I would start at 22.6 and move up in 0.2 grain increments. If you hit 24.0 with no pressure signs move up in 0.1 from there. You should be able to hit 2800 with this powder. CFE223, R17, and H414 are others that will get more speed but are not temp stable.
