    Jewell vs timney

I have had both and prefer the Timney. The jewel has a very vague release but its big advantage is that it can be safely adjusted to a very light release. To my finger, the Timney has a more crisp release that I prefer. Like most things, you would be better served to try one of each on someone...

    AICS Savage?

My IMR load for my rifle is 0.5 gr lighter (42.5) than my H load (43.0). It shoots almost as good in terms of accuracy and is safe at moderate temps. I havent shot it in summer temps but I suspect I will have to back off a bit. Just have to test and see.

    AICS Savage?

I hear ya on the H4350. My supply is dwindling. I have IMR but despite what some would tell you, it is NOT the same thing. It is very temp sensitive. Be sure and torque your action screws with a little loc tite. They worked loose on mine until I did.

Shooter ballistic app for iPhone questions

I had the icon for shooter disappear. It is still installed as I can go into settings and make changes to the settings. Anybody have any idea how I can get my icon back and get the app to work?

    AICS Savage?

I found that on Ebay of all places. It is made by a company by the name of Southern Ordnance.

    Which rifle?

Agreed. With the 308 will do anything the 06 and 270 will. Like any hunting application, proper bullet selection and placement are key. A 338 LM will not save your ass if you make a gut shot.

I'm confident that you wont be disappointed. Here is mine:

    AICS Savage?

The Savage AICS is only available in the folding 2.0 version. When I got mine, they were really hard to get your hands on. Dont know if that has improved any.

Just like American Express, "Dont leave home without it!"

    Fastest 6mm

For all intents and purposes, the 280 is a 30-06. The 0.050" amounts to no meaningful difference. Obviously there are those here who disagree with your assertion as to how much case should be assigned to a 6mm bullet, otherwise, this thread wouldnt exist.

    Fastest 6mm

A 280 is just a 30-06 necked to 7mm. That wildcat already exists, in the 6mm-06. It is a ballistic twin to the 240 Weatherby which is reasonably fast, but certainly not in the arena being discussed here.

    Fastest 6mm

Years ago Rick Jamison of Shooting Times developed his own 6mm wildcat that was a 7mm Remington Mag necked down to 6mm for coyote hunting. I dont recall the velocities that it was producing but it was pretty impressive. Naturally the barrel life was limited but so is anthing pushed that hard.

    GAP Thunder ranch rifle

The TR rifle by GAP is one sweet stick. I have been considering ordering one but mine would have to be on a CRF Win 70/FN action to make it perfect.

    22" barrel for 6.5 creedmoor?

All of the LR wanna be's that spend all their time pouring over ballistic charts will tell you that you simply must have at least a 26" barrel. They are full of shit and need to get out and actually do some shooting before posting their tripe. I have two 260 Remingtons (ballistic twin to your...

    Model 70 classic ?

That is a reasonable price. The M-70 is the best action out there in my opinion (I own 3 of them) so you at least have a good solid base to build on at a decent price. Let us know how it turns out.

    Model 70 classic ?

In my opinion, a 20" barrel on a WSM is going a little too short but that is your call. I would probably put it to him that if I were to buy it, barrel replacement is going to be required and the pricing would have to be adjusted to reflect that reality. What is he asking for it?

    Model 70 classic ?

It isnt rare. I have one myself. Actual value is probably going to hinge on your particular market. I purchased mine with an HS Precison stock and finished in black Teflon for $600 about four years ago.

    Optimal Twist for 6.5 Creedmoor

I had my M-70 rebarreld by GAP. I had a 1:8 in mind but they had 1:8.2 in stock and said that it was perfect for the 260/6.5 CM. I certainly wasnt about to argue with the experts. Shoots lights out so I have no complaints.

    Trigger Opinions

Agreed. Additionally, I just prefer the crisp break of the Timney over the Jewell. The Jewel is able to go very light safely but they have a very vague feel about them that I dont care for.
