Rifle Scopes Need input on Scope and trigger input for Stiller Tac 338 build

I would buy the Zero Compromise 5-27. It's much better than the Kahles, which I bought a week earlier. Great optics, but ZCO on a different level. CS Tactical was great to deal with buying my ZCO. For triggers, I like triggertech diamond for single stage and Huber Concepts for 2 stage...

TB bipod or MDT for PRS and all around shooting?

Yeah, so the thing most folks are missing.... The original post is asking about bipod for PRS. The data above shows the Harris is the #1 bipod in PRS. I have no doubt these other bipods are of great quality, but this thread (like most) has strayed way off what the original poster has asked.

    Deciding on a robust AR10

It won't be cheap, but if you want one of the best gas guns made, get in touch with Scott Milkovich at Specialized Dynamics. I shot in a PRS gas gun match with him 2 years ago at peacemaker and soon after had him build me a 6.5 Grendel. It's the most accurate gas gun I've ever shot.

Distance that separates Men from boys

Anyone with basic fundamentals can hit steel at extended ranges with an accurate rifle. There is no realistic distance I find impressive. Separate men from boys as you say, go to a PRS match when a storm is brewing and wind is 15-25 mph. The good shooters rise to the top fast.

Adjusting Hornady ELD-M Published BC Down?

There's lots to consider but that's also part of the fun.

Adjusting Hornady ELD-M Published BC Down?

Find Franks (SHLowlight) video on YouTube, Dope Disconnect. Hard dope vs hope dope is the gist of it. Make the solver reflect what the bullet is doing, rather than focus on what the solver says it should do. In my experience most projectiles published numbers are overly generous and when I use...

    Cheek rest cover for winter

Sorbathane? (Rubber 3M stick on pad) from website God A Grip. The guy is in Florida and sells all sizes. I bought a few for various rifles and they work great, stay on with strong adhesive, can be cut with scissors to fit, and are very affordable. $10-20 ish.

    1 piece mount suggestions?

Unless really needed, I would avoid QD mounts. PEPR and ADM might be good enough, but stepping up to a JP enterprises or NF unimount would be my suggestion if feasible. For AR many times a ~1.5" height cantilever mount works well. Your rifle, physique, if you have adjustable cheek riser, etc...

Atlas PSR tension knob loosens, any suggestions?

@Kasey can this be done on my PSR Tall? Would prefer the CAL Tall if my PSR can be converted. Thanks.

Using supports/bags from the bench question

@erwos I've been there, recall what you're going through vividly. I bought a bald eagle? Front rest from bullets. Com. Had lead sled before that. Actually took it to the dump last week after cleaning up the garage. Being new I left it beside the dump, pity the fool that takes it home. Front...

Do I need a Kestrel Meter?

If you're talkin about end of days, walking Dead, scenarios I say you skip the battery operated devices and get a sword. Liquor, cigarettes, batteries, etc will be in short supply. If you're shooting recreationally I would get the applied ballistics app for my phone. that will be adequate for...

Forster mic seater acceptable run out?

This can be a long dark rabbit hole. I suggest you use the concentricity gauge to mark your brass. Either that or sell it to somebody you don't like. First of all, there are many variables, and then there is the whole argument does it really even matter. I used to obsess over it but have not...

    223 load development questions

~24 gr of 8208 with 77 smk has been a great load on my Dillon 550. I got 6k 75 elds recently from Mid-South Shooting Supply and will be trying the same with it. PMC bulk brass. With LC or Lapua may need slight drop in charge to test initially.

    Forster Ultra Micrometer Seater die

I did the same, ring marks the reason, great CS and fast turnaround. I prefer Redding micrometer seaters the last few years, which I buy in sets with type S full size bushing dies. But Forster is similar in quality, I have their BR and micrometer, actually prefer the less expensive BR version...
