    I have shot both and I have not seen much of a shift...maybe at most .25MOA but it was probably just me. As you get out further it may show some differences in drop based on the differences in BC of the two bullets.

    I have several 3-18's on 308's and it ends up being about perfect. More than enough magnification for the 308; rarely go above 12-15 anyways when in the field. I save the 4.5 x 27 for the Creedmoors for shooting long range - beyond 1200.

    If you are looking for a really good production 77 grain round, look at Norma. I have seen SD's in the 10-15 range and is extremely accurate.

    I shoot a lot of 77 Sierra's, and as was said above, I can't really tell the difference, but since I have purchased so many cannelure over the years I use them for semiautos but not bolt rifles.

    I have a 1-8 Mil in Green. I like the optic and the glass is ok, not VCOG nice, but it is a lot cheaper. My only complaint is the crosshair is thick. It covers quite a bit of the target when shooting steel. I do love the no-tool turrets. Makes it easy to make changes in ammo differences.
