77 SMK Cannelure or NO?

Work between 23.8-24.6. You will find a low node around 24g and a high node around 24.6g

I use 75 and 80 ELD's in my 223 bolt guns. Cheaper, higher bc and bughole accuracy with Varget

Padom, your node estimates explain how 24 and 24.5 grains of Varget both look good at 100 yards. For me 24 is 2700, 24.5 is 2750. Been loading 24 grains Varget for 20 inch barrel. I don't get the cannelured bullet, but shoot them when issued at matches. They shoot the same but I've heard the cannelure weakens the jacket more on the target. Not a concern for paper.

Edited because I was half asleep while posting.

I shoot a lot of 77 Sierra's, and as was said above, I can't really tell the difference, but since I have purchased so many cannelure over the years I use them for semiautos but not bolt rifles.
