Range Report Doubts about hornady 110 no more

Re: Doubts about hornady 110 no more I took the new rifle from predator out today and shot some more 110 TAP at 200 yards. The results were very good, first group was 5/8" for three shots ( I only had 20 rounds with me so five shot groups would significantly cut down what I could do) second...

Range Report Doubts about hornady 110 no more

Re: Doubts about hornady 110 no more We have been shooting them as a team now for a couple of years. They are more sensitive to wind, but shoot very flat. Most of our team rifles are 1/12 factory long throat barrels with lots of throat wear so we get flyers occasionally. The groups without...

    most accruate factory 22lr

Re: most accurate factory 22lr My personal experience with both the winchester 52 and the anschuts reaffirms the above posters. My winchester shot as good as my anschuts, pretty impressive for a rifle built in 1935!

    Gunsmithing opinions on Hart barrels

Re: opinions on Hart barrels I've had five, still have one. They were all great shooters, one was on the best NM M1A I had and it was an exceptional shooter. I have an M1 garand NM style with a well worn hart in .308 and it's still a shooter. I've had experience with a few bolt rifles with...

Differences between GAP and Tac Ops ???

Re: Differences between GAP and Tac Ops ??? Predator Custom Shop will do excellent and timely work for you. My first build they did for me took less than two weeks from the time they got the stock to my FFL. They have my second build now and I tink it will be very quick as well. I can't say...

    700 SPS Varmint

Re: 700 SPS Varmint Something to consider if you are down on funds is if you have or know someone with a wood, or laminate stock these are very stiff and can be routed out to float the barrel. A good temporary fix to your problem. I put my SPS tactical in a wood stock off of a BDL varmint...

It’s back! Predator Custom Shop .300 Whisper

Re: It’s back! Predator Custom Shop .300 Whisper I've got a LTR (long range tactical) they built me last year and it is by far the best shooting rifle I have ever shot or owned (that's a bunch). I agree the quality of their work and the level of customer service and availability of Jim to...

    What is your favorite quote/saying?

Re: What is your favorite quote/saying? One of mine after patiently listening to exscuses, or justifications. This from both inmates and occasionally from students who have pushed me past my time envelope, or just fellow employees who aren't quite getting it during an incident- "How bout...

    factory hornady TAP ammo ?'s

Re: factory hornady TAP ammo ?'s We are using the 110 TAP rounds as duty rounds and have been for a little over two years now. They do tend to be extremely accurate in our rifles. I am getting a project started with Predator custom shop to rebarrel one of our rifles and trying a slower twist...

M1A...any good for medium/ lomg range shooting?

Re: M1A...any good for medium/ long range shooting? I've never seen a factory SAI M1A NM that wouldn't shoot better than 2 MOA, if the shooter and ammo was up to it. Is it bolt gun accurate? No but lets not sell it short either, by the way Ron Smith shot a group at Benning that was five shots...

Rifle Scopes Basset machine M1A mounts

Re: Basset machine M1A mounts The Bassett mount will work whether the receiver is in spec or not that is why it is the shite. Try it if you don't like it you can sell it. The Sadlak is excellent, as are the others mentioned.

Thinking of rebarrelling my DPMS 308...

Re: Thinking of rebarrelling my DPMS 308... The experience I have had with the DPMS is that the factory 24 inch bull is fair on average. We have had two on this one. The first would shoot right at 1 inch or so, and the replacement will go just under an inch. This is at 100 yards with FGMM 168...

    m1a accuracy?

Re: m1a accuracy? I have had 1 SM, and about seven NM's, some standards, and 1 M21. I would say that it is not unusual to have one that will shoot under MOA if you have a builder that knows what he is doing, but I would not go into it expecting that kind of performance. If you go into it...

Remington SPS Tactical : Factory Ammo Test

Re: Remington SPS Tactical : Factory Ammo Test I have had similar results with my SPS tactical. I did try hornady 110 TAP just for giggles and it shot significantly tighter groups in mine. Give it a try, less recoil to if you care.
