If you have the barrels re threaded by a reputable smith there shouldnt be a problem. The problem is with thread adapters. Who knows how they get threaded and your only stacking tolerances. Where have you seen suppresor costs drop "considerably"?

Not a ton of caliber options for 223 BF. 223 Rem is about the "go to" for a center fire trainer. Could pick up a Sako or CZ flavor in rim fire if your looking for an extra challange in wind and elevation reading
You could just send off your stock and have the EFR installed. IMO its best to send out the rifle so the EFR can be centered up as well as possible. Things to consider: how straight is the stock inlet? How straight and parallel was the rifle bedded into the stock? I have seen the...
SAUM. depending on what bullets your gona run. SAUM has a little shorter case so your not over stuffing bullets in an AI type mag. Tikkas dont have a ton of room when used as a long action. If your running the factory plastic mag you could go either way and be ok
having any pierced primers? The small piece of primer can get inside the bolt and cause miss fires n such. Heavy grease on the spring can slow things down, esp in cold weather. Also check that the cocking piece is not hitting the trigger body. Could be a weak/broken/wrong size FP spring. Broken...

The ptg dbm works fine. The anodizing is total garbage. Might as well just used a permanent marker. Ive seen one with a large lip of uncut material on the trigger end. Would have needed filed off to fit in the inlet of the stock. You have to watch that the larger OD of the exposed...
