    Re: 180-190 gr bullets in the 308 maybe I am worrying about nothing. I guess a $5-600 rebarrel job is nothing when you really think about the expence of all that we do.

    Re: 180-190 gr bullets in the 308 that is exactly why I am debating between the two . I know the 7-08 is better ballisticly. I know that people are getting between 8-10000 rounds out of a 308 barrel ,and around 3-4000 with the 260's. I am not sure what a 7-08 will get maybe 4-6000...

    Re: 180-190 gr bullets in the 308 thanks . I keep going back and forth between a 7-08 and a 308 for a duel use rifle ( hunting/ back up tactical comp rig). If I could push the 185 vld's to about 2700fps and get a whole lot more barrel life out of a 308, it would be great. But the 7-08's...

    I am just looking for some of your guys loads , and what OAL you are using. I would like to keep them in AI mags. Also how fast you think you can push them out of a 22inch barrel. thanks

    for those of you that have built one , what are you using for an OAL. Are you able to keep them in the AI mags with the 162amax/168 VLD bullets. I am thinking pretty hard about building one, sort of a duel purpose hunting / tactical comp rifle. It would be prtty tough to beat if you...

    Re: 308 Win, 208 AMax, RL17 I will be trying this combo out shortly in my 20 inch 10 twist Schnider barrel. if I can get to 2500, I beat the 155 sceanar load by quit a bit in wind drift. looks good on paper , I guess we will see
