Night Vision Best setup for under $500

Also lots of rednecks that shoot at things they can't positively ID. Save your money and invest in good equipment, or get a nice flashlight.

Night Vision Best setup for under $500

I used to have a night owl from cabelas that was a $300 novelty.. If you want 200 yards with that price range I'd look into a high powered flashlight. You may be able to find a used FLIR RS for 1K and that could get you to 100 yards.

    300 PRC Barrel Length

They're showing 24" drop in senderos on their website. I'd like to get one in 20" to throw on a Tikka but may have to spin up a blank for that.

Member Link Up Southern Washington, Northern Oregon

I found some good spots in the coast range to set up steel when I lived in Portland, about 30 minutes west of Banks on the way to Tillamook. There should still be a big steel target where I left it at a clearing that you can get 600-1400 yards out of. If you’re interested I can get more...

Night Vision Start with thermal or NV?

I enjoy my RNVGs much more than thermal just because I can use them for much more than just hunting.

    Jp enterprises silent capture spring

Using a standard spring seems so rough and noisy after using one of these. Must have in an AR in my opinion.

Night Vision Dumb question on long term storage of NV and Thermals

From my understanding with storing NV it's ideal just to keep it at room temp.

Night Vision First Legit NV Purchase

I picked up a set of L3 WP RNVGs and absolutely love them. A pvs 14 with L3 tubes seems to fit your request pretty well, but I will say that having dual tubes makes goofing off at night a whole lot nicer. Dual pvs 14s might be a bit heavier and more bulky than dedicated duals. A set of DTNVGs...

    300 PRC update

If it didn’t have a break or can I’d agree with you. I shoot a 12lb 338 and it’s not nearly as bad as you’d think. Feels about like a 12 gauge with slugs. Without the break it’s a bit more painful, but still not unbearable. My 458 win on the other hand... fuck that gun

    300 PRC update

I’ll either wait for the mega fix and put a proof barrel on that or do a t3 lite with a proof barrel if Q keeps takin their time. A TT 3-15m and ultra 7 should keep the whole setup below 10lbs.

Is anyone shooting 300 prc out of a shorter barrel? I’m thinking about building one with a 20” but wondering if it’s worth it.

Night Vision DTNVG L3 unfilmed white phos super smalls blems in each tube

I had the same thought initially with my RNVGs, but after using them I don't even notice. Saved a ton and got higher spec tubes than if I had gone with a set without blems.
