    If I were in your shoes and were looking at the options you and others have mentioned, I would take Doug at Cameraland up on his offer. That is a lot of value and performance for the price. I have used leica binocs for years .( trinovid 10/40, trinovid HD 8/42, trinovid 10x42).

    Leica Customer Service

    2 years ago I sent in a pair of Leica Trinovid 10x40s. I bought them new 30 years ago. Used them hard and they looked it. Had them back in month or so, looking like new. I was very pleased with very reasonable price and quality of work. I would not hesitate to use them in the future.

    I agree with the above. I have mainly LaRue AR mounts, some SPUHR. Also have a JP cantilevered mount that is simplicity and function to perfection.

    For what it is worth, I have run a USO 1.8x10 for several years, on a Mark 12 type rifle , and a Grendel. One of my favorite scopes. Seems to fit this niche very well. Not the lightest scope, but everything else seems optimal.

    Only excuse to go with Optics Planet would be if you really intended on Euro Optics but were severely dyslexic. Other than that no excuses. I mean the list of reputable dealers that have serviced Hide members for a long time, is impressive. I have used most of them with pleasure.

    Son and I are taking a road trip to CO, UT, NM next month

    North Rim to river via North Kaibab trail is 14 miles one way and 6000 ft elevation change. Camping at Phantom Ranch campground requires reservations several months to yr in advance.

    Not exactly within your original specs, but has worked very well for me: USO 1.8x10 , 30 mm tube, 37mm obj, illuminated.
