That's some good shooting how many people can take out a gopro at that range and to make the shot even harder you went for the tripod leg and hit it 3 times, but I hope they do warrenty it. Montrose

    Gunsmithing Bolt lug help!!!

On a 2 lug bolt when the bolt is in the locked position the lug on the bottom takes the most wear, there is a lot of play in the factory bolt to action fit so when you cock the bolt the back of the bolt moves up putting the bolt at a very slight angle and unloading the top lug a little and...

    Gunsmithing Bolt lug help!!!

You may not need a new bolt but if you get that cleaned up by a gunsmith the barrel will need to be set back to keep the headspace in the GO range, now if the lug abutment looks like that too then more work will be need. If you leave it as is it could get worse. Montrose

    Gunsmithing Oversized Chamber???????

For neck bushing diameter it's not off a fired case but a loaded round, I go .003 less than loaded round diameter so for my 300wm thats .335 loaded I use a .332 bushing some use more some use less tension. Montrose

Impacts lower than expected for a 20 MOA base

There is a bolted on piece that stops the barrel nut from moving, so that shouldn't be the problem also unless you have headspace guages it's not a good idea to remove the barrel nut or unscrew the barrel. Montrose

Impacts lower than expected for a 20 MOA base

The top one in the link is what i was talking about, if the scope and the scope base are good to go, then its the muzzle that is pointing down. Montrose

Gunsmithing Gunsmiths thoughts on a Bartlein 5R

The whole 5r vs what ever doesn't matter, you have a barrel from a good barrel maker. 5R may not better than a 4 or 6 land barrel but it's not worse either. Montrose

    Badger M2013 Opinions

As other have said it's a good action, it is also one of the few carbon steel custom actions made if that matters at all, it also uses remington styled triggers like all the other custom actions and remington styled floor plates and DBMs. The only draw back is the stock selection. Montrose

If the muzzle is over .7995 then yes since it is a clamp on, now the micro FTE is not a clamp on. Montrose

    Gunsmithing Barreling a badger m2013

most of it will be in the bolt nose the bolt face is back .129 so that gives you a clearance of .005, after torqueing down the barrel you will have .003 to .004 clearance hope this helps. Montrose
